Ashley Etienne, communications director for Vice President Kamala Harris resigned amid horrific poll numbers and growing criticism of the VP. Etienne will remain in position until next month when the resignation takes effect.

A White House official said that Etienne is a valued member of the Vice President’s team, who worked tirelessly to advance the goals of the administration, adding: “She is leaving the office in December to pursue other opportunities.

CNN reported some outlined recent frustration and dysfunction in Harris’ office.  George Stephanopoulos asked Harris if she feels “misused or underused” by the Biden administration, and she answered with a laugh adding: “No, I don’t.”

Secretary Jen Psaki tweeted a defense of the vice president which appeared to be a direct answer to CNN’s article.

Harris had a historically bad approval rating for a vice president in one recent survey, as it was a dismal 28%. Bad poll numbers for the Biden/Harris team have been going on for months.

This was not the first time Harris was attacked for laughing, or cackling as critics put it, when she is faced with tough or uncomfortable questions. She also laughed when NBC News anchor Lester Holt asked if she planned to visit the southern border of the United States after President Biden tasked her with discovering the root cause of crisis-level immigration.

Harris is extremely unpopular with supporters of former President Donald Trump.
