Kash Patel Makes Major Personal Announcement
FBI Director Kash Patel is officially off the market.
Patel and his longtime girlfriend, country singer and conservative commentator Alexis Wilkins, announced Sunday that they are engaged after more than three years together.
Wilkins, 27, broke the news on social media with a black-and-white photo showing off her diamond engagement ring as she stood alongside the 46-year-old FBI chief.
‘Went and got the law involved,’ she joked.
Patel quickly reposted the announcement, adding a heart emoji and diamond ring emoji.
The engagement drew congratulations from several prominent figures in President Donald Trump’s orbit, including former Trump attorney Alina Habba.
‘This makes my heart smile. Big congratulations to my friends Alexis Wilkins and Kash Patel.’
The couple began dating in early 2023 after meeting at a conservative event the previous year. Wilkins later stood beside Patel when he was sworn in as FBI director in February 2025.
Their relationship has repeatedly landed in the spotlight as Patel rose to one of the most powerful law enforcement posts in Washington.
Patel faced criticism after using an FBI aircraft to travel to Pennsylvania for a wrestling event where Wilkins performed the national anthem.
Former FBI agent Kyle Seraphin mocked Patel over the trip.

‘Dear FBI Employees: I’m sorry the government ISN’T funded, so you won’t be getting a paycheck,’ Seraphin wrote. ‘Luckily, that doesn’t stop Real American Freestyle WRESTLING! So I flew the FBI jet to State College PA, hung out with my chick, and then flew to Nashville where she lives.’
Patel fired back at critics and fiercely defended Wilkins.

‘The disgustingly baseless attacks against Alexis – a true patriot and the woman I’m proud to call my partner in life – are beyond pathetic,’ he wrote at the time.
‘She is a rock-solid conservative and a country music sensation who has done more for this nation than most will in ten lifetimes. I’m so blessed she’s in my life.’
He then added: ‘Attacking her isn’t just wrong – it’s cowardly and jeopardizes our safety. My love of family will always be my cornerstone, and you will never tear that down or keep me from them,’ he added.

Patel spokesman Ben Williamson also defended the FBI director’s travel, saying Kash Patel reimburses the government when required and is permitted to use government aircraft because of security protocols surrounding the FBI director.
‘He’s allowed to take personal time on occasion to see family, friends or his longtime girlfriend. He doesn’t do it often,’ Williamson said.
Wilkins also received an FBI protective detail after officials said she became the target of repeated threats because of her relationship with Patel.
Some former agents questioned the level of protection, while the FBI said the security was justified.
‘Ms. Wilkins is receiving a protective detail because she has faced hundreds of credible death threats related to her relationship with Director Patel, whom she has been dating for three years,’ a spokesperson told the Daily Mail.

‘Out of respect for her safety, we will not be providing additional details.’
Wilkins has publicly shared some of the threatening messages she has received online.
‘A morning in my DMs.’
She has also filed lawsuits against right-wing commentators who allegedly claimed she was connected to Israeli intelligence or acting as a so-called honeypot targeting Patel.
Her lawyers have firmly rejected those allegations.
The Nashville-based Wilkins ‘is a Christian, American-born, United States citizen, and is unaffiliated with any intelligence agency, much less the government of Israel,’ the singer’s lawyers wrote in her federal complaint.
Wilkins previously brushed aside conspiracy theories surrounding the couple’s 19-year age difference, saying their relationship began years before Patel became FBI director.
‘I’ve blocked the word “honeypot” from my Instagram comments, if that tells you anything,’ Wilkins told the Daily Mail.
After years of political scrutiny, public criticism and online speculation surrounding their relationship, Patel and Wilkins are now preparing to make it official.
