LeBron James Gets Roasted Relentlessly After Making Ridiculous Claim

In a recent interview that quickly spiraled into an internet frenzy, NBA superstar LeBron James found himself at the center of a social media roast.

When asked about the type of publicity he would like surrounding his eventual retirement, Lebron said, “That seems cool but I’ve never been great with accepting praise. It’s a weird feeling for me.”

“I am happy and been very happy being a Laker the last six years. And hopefully it stays that way. But I don’t have the answer to how long it is with the Lakers.”

The irony of James’ statement did not go unnoticed, with social media users pointing out the contradiction between his words and his “Chosen One” tattoo, a clear nod to his own greatness.

The juxtaposition has fueled a relentless online roast between James’ self-perception and his public image. LeBron’s claim of discomfort with praise is also ironic in light of his highly publicized decision specials, such as “The Decision” in 2010 when he announced his move to the Miami Heat.

When probed about his future plans, including the possibility of a farewell tour, James shared his mixed feelings. “I’m 50-50. I’m going to be honest because there’s times where I feel like, I guess I owe it to my fans that’s been along this journey with me for two decades plus to be able to give them that moment,” he said.
