So the very liberal Washington Post decided to fact check a couple of claims recently made by President Joe Biden, which ended up with them giving him a “bottomless Pinocchio,” which means he’s basically lying through his teeth. If he even knows what in the world he’s talking about to begin with. Given his cognitive issues it’s hard to tell whether or not he’s even aware of what is coming out of his mouth.
“Folks, I spent a lot of time — more time with Xi Jinping than any other head of state. … I’ve traveled 17,000 miles with him,” the president statedon Nov. 3 in San Diego. Glenn Kessler then wrote that the Post has fact-checked this claim several times in the past, noting that the president has said it over 20 times.
According to Fox News, while Trump was in office, the Washington Post created a brand new rating known as the “bottomless Pinocchio” for claims that were given three Pinocchios and had been repeated a minimum of 20 times.
“Now Biden has earned his own Bottomless Pinocchio,” Kessler said in his piece.
“The analysis also fact-checked the president’s claim that seniors were getting an increase in their Social Security checks for the first time in 10 years. The White House also included this claim in a tweet that was deleted,” Fox News reported.
“The reason Social Security payments are going up is because Social Security benefits, under a law passed in 1972, are adjusted every year to keep pace with inflation,” the Post’s analysis revealed.
Biden also recently made the claim that gas was over $5 a gallon when he took over the White House from Trump.
“And because of the action we’ve taken, gas prices are declining. We’re down $1.25 since the peak this summer and they’ve been falling for the last three weeks as well, and adding up real savings for families today. The most common price of gas in America is $3.39, down from over $5 when I took office,” Biden stated back in October.
The fact-checker for WaPo then wrote that the White House has commonly referred to the “most common price” from GasBuddy due to the fact that the extremely high price of fuel in California raises the national average.
Biden has also repeated a claim about the Second Amendment several times, which the Washington Post slapped with four Pinocchios back in 2021.
“The Second Amendment was never absolute,” Biden went on to say in June, despite the claim being completely debunked. “You couldn’t buy a cannon when the Second Amendment was passed. You couldn’t go out and purchase a lot of weapons.”
So what is the main takeaway from this? It’s something the vast majority of the American people already know. Joe Biden is a liar. Not only that. He seems to be totally addicted to lying. Telling whoppers is second nature for this man. You can’t believe a single word that comes out of his mouth.
And this is a reflection of others within the Democratic Party as well. Given that’s the case, the question every single American needs to ask as they head to the polls Tuesday is why on earth anyone should cast a ballot for anyone on the left?
