Liberals Suffer Meltdown After Popular CBS Host Posts Pic With Jesse Watters

Gayle King, co-host of CBS Mornings, received a heap of hateful comments from fellow leftists after she posted a picture on Instagram smiling while seated next to Fox News host and diehard conservative Jesse Watters on a plane.

“Two TV people from competing networks walk on to a plane and to the surprise of them both, they’re seated right next to each other for over four hours,” King said in the caption for the photo. What seemed to anger King’s followers the most was her follow-up statement.

“How did it go? Speaking for @jessewatters here: A good time was had by all! Hi, Jesse…saving your number!” King continued. Not long after the post was published, critics attacked the CBS host for what experts call “humanizing” a conservative and not going along with the narrative that all people on the right are monsters to be hated.

One user on the platform commented, “Why would you even post this?”

Another stated, “I respect and love you, Gayle. Your seat mate, however, is harming our country…”

“This is really not cute at all,” a third individual commented.

While the vast majority of comments on the post were negative, a number of users gave the photo their approval. They referred to the photo as “refreshing” and “great to see.”

Following the assassination of conservative icon Charlie Kirk in September, many leftists took to social media to express joy at someone they perceive to be their own personal enemy, an attitude that reveals the depth of the divide among the American people along political lines. Some commenters realized the photo of King and Watters for what it was: an earnest attempt to humanize those who hold to differing political ideologies stemming from a desire for common ground and unity.

“Above all, one feels gratitude to King for showing decency. Amid so much leftist bloodlust, it is good to know when conservatives can distinguish a simple establishment journalist from those who want to murder us,” Michael Schwarz of The Western Journal wrote of King and the photo she shared.

“Democrats and their establishment media allies created this monster by relentlessly demonizing President Donald Trump and his supporters. Now, they have no choice but to feed that monster lest it devour them,” he said. “Indeed, Democrats’ never-ending stream of anti-Trump lies has filled their unstable supporters’ heads with violent thoughts.”

Many pundits on both sides of the aisle have spoken out for the need for unity and understanding each other’s differences, noting that without seeking common ground, acts of violence like the assassination of Charlie Kirk will continue.
