As he returned to the White House following a holiday vacation to the Caribbean, incumbent Democrat President Joe Biden was seen sporting what appeared to be an unfortunate sunburn from his seven-day stay in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Biden’s sun-scorched visage gained attention from the media according to The New York Post given his previous history of cancerous skin lesions, in particular one that was removed from his chest during his 2023 physical at Walter Reed Medical Center in February.

Biden was photographed shaking hands on the flight line of Henry E. Rohlsen Airport in Christiansted, St. Croix before boarding Air Force One for his return flight to Washington, D.C. with what online commentators are alternately calling a “massive,” “beet red,” or “Lobster Red” sunburn.

As reported by The Daily Caller, the “Fox & Friends” panel had a bit of a field day criticizing the 81-year-old for his lapse in sun safety. Co-host Steve Doocy said, “Absolutely lobster red. We’ve seen him up in Delaware, he loves to be up at the beach. Here’s the thing, that is nine months after he had surgery to remove skin cancer from his chest. You gotta wonder—”

Co-host Brian Kilmeade suggested the President had used, “Not a lot of sunscreen.”

Doocy continued, “No, not on his face. I mean, he is bright red,” Doocy said. “But you wonder, come on, Joe. You trying to kill yourself? Stay out of the sun!”

Even left-leaning publications seemed to be getting in a few shots at Biden for his days in the sun with The Daily Beast posting to X, “Someone get this man aloe vera immediately.”

As reported by The Daily Mail, White House physician Kevin O’Connor told the press in March that Biden’s biopsy site had “healed nicely,” but he explained in the summary of the President’s physical that he had “several localized non-melanoma skin cancers,” removed from his body prior to his inauguration.

The outlet reported that Biden was only seen in public once during his week-long excursion to St. Croix. He and the First Lady attended Catholic mass and he took his family to dinner at a high-end seafood restaurant. The rest of his time was spent behind the high walls of a”luxury private villa with its private beach.”

The New York Post reported that the three-bedroom beachfront home worth $3 million according to The Express belongs to billionaire Democrat donors Bill and Connie Neville. Reportedly the Biden’s were not required to pay a dime to stay at the property that typically operates as a VRBO rental. The value of the free stay is estimated at over $6,000 according to the Post.

Mark Paoletta, a senior attorney in the White House budget office under President Donald Trump observed, “Joe Biden has been staying for free at donors’ homes for years and has never included these vacations on disclosure forms.”

Paoletta cited this in reference to Congressional Democrats’ recent criticisms of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas who has taken undisclosed vacations with wealthy friends.

“These are not longtime friends, they are wealthy donors, so there’s no excuse to not disclose,” he said. “But because his name is not Clarence Thomas, who visits his friends at their homes and does not have to report, the media don’t care. They protect Biden and are only interested in one side.”
