LOL: Dr. Jill Whines about Biden’s Failures to DNC Fundraiser
President Biden’s wife, “Dr.” Jill Biden, appeared in Nantucket for a Democrat fundraiser on Saturday and gave a whine-filled, complaint-ridden speech about Biden’s failures, obviously attempting to pass the buck on his disaster of a presidency by claiming that events have been beyond his control and that what he has accomplished hasn’t been appreciated enough.
In fact, the speech was so ridiculous that even CNN reported on it, describing it as a speech on President Biden’s “hindered progress”.
According to that outlet, Dr. Jill claimed that much of what has so far happened under Biden’s watch has been events that he and his team either didn’t see coming or didn’t believe it was coming despite seeing it, arguing that he hasn’t been able to accomplish much because so much has been thrown his way. In her words:
[The President] had so many hopes and plans for things he wanted to do, but every time you turned around, he had to address the problems of the moment. He’s just had so many things thrown his way.
Who would have ever thought about what happened with Roe v. Wade? Well, maybe we saw it coming, but still, we didn’t believe it. The gun violence in this country is absolutely appalling. We didn’t see the war in Ukraine coming.
She also, as is usual from the self-obsessed First Lady, tried to make the speech and situation about herself, saying:
I was saying to myself, ‘Okay, I was Second Lady. I worked on community colleges. I worked on military families. I’ve worked on cancer.
They were supposed to be my areas of focus. But then when we got [in the White House,] I had to be, with all that was happening, the First Lady of the moment.
Poor her. “First Lady of the moment” instead of First Lady of community colleges.
Oh, and she also claimed, as Breitbart reports, that the presidential race between her husband and President Trump was a battle between good and evil, which is why Biden won. In her words:
“I think they chose him, at least in my mind, maybe yours as well, because it was a choice between good and evil.”
Those remarks, given their whiney tone and the part about her complaining that she had to be the “First Lady of the moment”, were probably a bad decision as they’re bad optics for the administration.
However, Breitbart reports that she set “aside her prepared remarks for a frank discussion,” so perhaps the speech, which was given to a few dozen donors, wasn’t a miscalculated attempt from the White House to make up for and cover up Biden’s failures, but rather a miscalculated attempt on Jill’s part to go for the aura of “honesty.”
Whatever the intent and planning, the speech has been more derided than cheered, so someone miscalculated.
