Man Arrested For Violently Threatening ICE Agents, Trump Official
Agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the principal investigation arm for the Department of Homeland Security, arrested a man for making “terroristic threats” against federal agents and a Trump cabinet official, the HSI’s Dallas field office announced in a social media post.
Robert King, an American citizen and resident of McKinney, Texas, was taken into custody after allegedly making a number of violent threats on social media, some of which targeted U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.
“King’s alarming social media posts included intentions to “open fire” if agents are seen in his neighborhood,” HSI Dallas announced in an X post. A DHS spokesperson said the agency was assisted by agents from Texas DPS, the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office and McKinney Police.

A DHS spokesperson shared one of the posts with NBC 5 DFW, in which King threatens bodily harm against Noem referred to her as a “Nazi.”
“I think this is incredibly serious,” said Tarleton State Criminology professor Dr. Alex Del Carmen, who suggested that the case is likely built on more than just social media posts.
“If this particular charge or if this claim has been made by the Department of Homeland Security, you know what it basically alludes to is the fact that they must have evidence in place that shows that this person had not only verbal comments that were made against her and against DHS but rather that he had the ability and he had the intent of doing both,” he said.
The arrest comes just days after a TikTok user posted a video instructing followers to “shoot at ICE agents on sight” if they see ICE agents conducting immigration enforcement operations.
“Shoot at ICE agents on sight. That’s right. If ICE agents are trying to take you or a loved one, shoot them on sight,” the TikTok creator said in a now-deleted video. “The way they are pulling up with masks on, with unmarked vehicles, no badge, no nothing — it could be anybody. It could be gang members. You have every right to shoot at them. This would be the best self-defense case, you’re just in fear for your life.”
“This is ridiculous,” the man continued. “What is our country coming to? Why would you want to be an ICE agent anyway? Do you like separating kids from their parents? Do you like deporting students that are studying?”
In response to the video, Noem warned that anyone who wants to “threaten or attempt to harm a law enforcement officer,” they will be identified and prosecuted “to the fullest extent of the law.”
A senior DHS official referenced the secretary’s statement while commenting on the most recent arrest in Texas. “Like Secretary Noem said: If you threaten or attempt to harm a law enforcement officer, we will find you and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law. Promises made, promises kept,” the official told NBC 5 DFW.
