Mass Shooting Rocks Red State Community
Three employees at a San Antonio landscape supply business were gunned down Saturday morning in a workplace massacre that police say was deliberate.
San Antonio Police Chief Bill McManus told reporters investigators “don’t know the motive right now, but it was not random.”
The shooting erupted just before 8 a.m. at the business on Stahl Road on the city’s North Side. “There may be others wounded, but we’re not sure,” McManus said early in the investigation.
Hours later, McManus confirmed on social media that the suspect was found “down” with a “self-inflicted” wound following a manhunt.

Police on Sunday identified the alleged killer as 21-year-old Jose Hernandez Galo, an employee of the company. Officers said Galo opened fire on his coworkers, killing two men and a woman before turning the gun on himself.
All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene. SWAT teams and Texas Department of Public Safety officers surrounded the area as police negotiators tried to locate the gunman.
