Matt Gaetz Makes Life-Changing Announcement
Former Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz and his wife, Ginger, announced some fantastic news on Wednesday. In a post on X, Ginger revealed to the world that she and her husband have welcomed their brand new baby boy into the world. Luckey Louis Gaetz was introduced through an adorable photo of the baby swaddled in a white blanket that featured a beautiful red rose.
The caption on the post read, “Beyond grateful to introduce our son, Luckey Louis Gaetz.”
The newborn is named after Ginger’s brother, Palmer Luckey, founder of Oculus VR. Palmer has been featured in a 2017 Forbes profile that estimated his net worth at north of $700 million after Oculus was sold to Facebook.

A number of other conservative-leaning families have announced new arrivals or little ones on the way, including Tim Tebow as well as Jed Duggar, who welcomed his 34th and 35th grandchildren recently. Reports from US Magazine covering the expansion of these families seemingly indicate that traditional family values are once again on the rise in America following the election of President Donald Trump to the presidency.
Some have stated that the choice of “Luckey” for the baby’s name hints that the Gaetz family is feeling optimistic about America’s future, a sentiment that has been shared and passed around within conservative circles ever since the president won the election in 2024.
It’s an unusual name, even in an era when parents are going the extra mile to be creative with names and ensure their children stand out from the pack. Currently, 25 percent of babies are given less common names than previous generations. Names in the Holy Bible always held deep meaning for the individual who was given a particular name.
Gaetz resigned from Congress in January 2025, after being nominated by President Donald Trump to serve as the Attorney General in his administration.
His departure was met with a round of applause by leftist members of the House and those on the Republican side who remain part of the establishment, PNJ noted.
Gaetz is now the host of his own program on One America News Network, which has proven thus far to be a good fit for his rhetorical style.
