Meghan McCain Gets Roasted After Another Public Meltdown: ‘Keyboard Warrior’

Meghan McCain has found herself at the center of the latest online conflagration. The controversy ignited when McCain took to X to express her amusement at the backlash she received from Republican factions, particularly targeting who she called “MAGA Cheeto Jesus minions.”

In her post, McCain remarked, “It’s hilarious to me the MAGA Cheeto Jesus minions think they can all trash and debase people like me and then when we punch back and don’t just roll over and take it – they all clutch their pearls and need smelling salts it’s so shocking! Like lol, you wanna talk about tone?”

McCain’s post, laden with sarcasm, was a clear jab at her detractors, suggesting a double standard in their reactions when the tables are turned. The tweet quickly became a lightning rod for responses, attracting comments from critics.

An X user named Spitfire reacted to the post with a personal barb, advising McCain to “focus on the important things like putting your fork down.”

Another notable response came from Michelle Whitzel, who took a jibe at McCain, labeling her a “keyboard warrior.”

McCain’s outspokenness has often made her a target for criticism. On Wednesday the daughter of the late U.S. Senator John McCain publicly clashed with Arizona Senate hopeful, Kari Lake.

The dispute unfolded when McCain sharply criticized Lake, accusing her of attempting to backtrack on previous criticisms of her father and his supporters. McCain’s remarks came in response to Lake’s conciliatory message, which sought to bridge political divides and extend an olive branch amidst their heated exchange.

On Tuesday, McCain took to X to express her disdain for Lake’s recent efforts to mend fences. In a fiery post, McCain wrote: “Kari Lake is trying to walk back her continued attacks on my Dad (& family) and all of his loyal supporters after telling them to ‘get the hell out’. Guess she realized she can’t become a Senator without us. No peace, bitch. We see you for who you are – and are repulsed by it.”

The post came in the wake of Lake’s attempts to reach out to McCain with a message asking for unity and the shared priorities of securing a prosperous future for their children.

Lake’s message to McCain highlighted potential common ground as mothers as Lake expressed a desire to work together. “My dad passed away from cancer, too,” she wrote. “I trust and believe that if our fathers were still with us they would do everything they could to save this Republic.”

Lake’s outreach included an offer to meet for a discussion over coffee or lunch and a wish to collaborate for the betterment of Arizona and the country. However, McCain’s vehement response showed the depth of the rift between them, dismissing Lake’s overture and signaling an unwillingness to reconcile.
