Michael Avenatti Sentenced To 14 Years In Prison; Here’s What We Know…

Moments ago, notorious Trump hater Michael Avenatti got horrible news from a federal judge who sentenced him to 14 years in prison for wire fraud and several tax offenses. Ironically, it was Avenatti who always predicted that Trump would be the one to end up in jail. Looks like he accidentally played the reverse uno card on himself.

Here’s the scoop from the Daily Caller:

A federal judge in California sentenced disbarred attorney Michael Avenatti to 14 years in prison Monday for wire fraud and a tax offense.

Avenatti pleaded guilty in June to four wire fraud counts for embezzling money from clients and one count of endeavoring to obstruct the Internal Revenue Code’s administration for obstructing and impeding IRS efforts to collect payroll taxes, including taxes withheld from employees of the company he owned that ran Tully’s Coffee. U.S. District Judge James Selna sentenced him to 14 years in prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California.

“In imposing the 14-year sentence, U.S. District Judge James V. Selna ordered that Avenatti’s term of imprisonment run consecutive to sentences totaling five years previously imposed in two federal cases in the Southern District of New York,” the office said.

Here’s what the US Attorney of Los Angeles wrote about it on Twitter:

Suspended lawyer Michael John Avenatti has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for defrauding his clients and for obstructing IRS efforts to collect payroll taxes from his coffee business.

With all of his charges, users have pointed out that he won’t be out of jail until 2038:

BREAKING: Disgraced lawyer Michael Avenatti sentenced to an additional *FOURTEEN YEARS* in Federal Prison, to be consecutive to the term he is already serving into early 2026.

This would mean he will leave prison in mid-2038 even with full credit for good behavior.

Looks like he’ll miss out on Trump’s next Presidential term. Very sad!
