NEW: RNC Stops Thousands Of Duplicate Ballots From Being Counted In Swing State

The Republican National Committee has prevented the counting of thousands of “duplicate” ballots in Michigan, according to a statement from RNC co-chair Lara Trump.

On Wednesday, analysis conducted by Matthew S. DePerno, a constitutional attorney, revealed that a single voter I.D. was connected to 29 ballots cast across the state. “After reviewing the Qualified Voter File (QVF) of votes actually cast as of yesterday, Oct 29, 2024, the database identifies 114,545 Michigan voters who have cast 279,113 ballots from multiple addresses across the state,” DePerno wrote in an X post. “This results in 164,568 excess ballots as of 10/29/2024,” the post continued, which accompanied a screenshot of a voter who appears to have voted 29 separate times.

Trump Campaign Political Director James Blair soon confirmed that the campaign had been made aware of the troubling findings. “We’re reviewing his observations and will take any action necessary after thorough review,” Blair wrote.

A few hours later, RNC co-chair Lara Trump announced that the issue had been addressed. “Our election integrity team received reports of thousands of duplicate ballots in Michigan,” Trump announced.

“We immediately investigated and have CONFIRMED that it was a glitch in the system – these duplicates were not and WILL NOT BE COUNTED. We are on it and protecting the vote!”

Michigan’s elections have been under intense scrutiny due to the large numbers of inactive or unverified voters present on the state’s logs. Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson — a far-left Democrat who has threatened to imprison anyone who questions the state’s elections — has claimed that reporting on Michigan’s voter logs is “misinformation” spread by foreign actors.

Earlier this month, Benson accused X owner Elon Musk of deliberately spreading “misinformation” about the state’s voter logs. “Here are the facts: There aren’t more voters than citizens in Michigan. There are 7.2 million active registered voters and 7.9 citizens of voting age in our state. Musk is pushing a misleading number that includes 1.2 million inactive records slated for removal in accordance with the law.”

Musk responded by correctly pointing out that the voters in question will not be removed from the logs until 2027. “Jocelyn Michelle Benson, shame on you for blatantly lying to the public!” the tech leader wrote in response to Benson’s post. “You only plan to remove the ineligible voters AFTER this election. That necessarily means that there are far more people registered to vote than there eligible voters.”

In Michigan, voters can register up to Election Day. Voters are not required to show photo I.D. in Michigan and are able to simply sign an affidavit stating they don’t have one, at which point they will be allowed to vote.

On Wednesday, a University of Michigan statement who is originally from China was charged with illegally voting in Ann Arbor. The student — who is not a U.S. citizen — allegedly used his student I.D. to vote. He was only caught because he called the county clerk’s office and asked to get his ballot back.

The Secretary of State’s office reported that he signed a document falsely identifying himself as a U.S. citizen. Although he has been charged with two crimes, his ballot, already processed through a tabulator, will be counted in the election set to occur in just six days.
