MUST-SEE: Trump Blows Up On Conservative News Outlet, Says He Prefers CNN
President Donald Trump snapped at a reporter from conservative outlet Newsmax on Monday, cutting off the correspondent mid-question and quipping that he would rather take a question from CNN.
The exchange unfolded on the tarmac in West Palm Beach, Florida, as Trump fielded questions about the Iran conflict and his administration’s response at home.
Newsmax reporter Mike Carter began by citing Iran’s messaging about the White House’s claims of progress toward ending the war.
“Iran’s foreign ministry is saying you’re not telling the truth when it comes to productive conversations to end the war,” Carter said.
Trump fired back.
“Well, they’re gonna have to get themselves better public relations people,” Trump shot back.
Carter then attempted to move to a second question.
“Mr. President, you deployed ICE agents to American airports today—” Carter said.
Trump cut him off and pressed for the outlet’s identity.
“Who are you with?” Trump said.
“Newsmax, sir,” the reporter replied.
Trump didn’t let it go.
“You know, you’re not doing a very good job,” Trump shot back.
As Carter tried to continue, Trump dismissed him again and turned to a different reporter.
“You’re not doing a good job, did you hear me?” Trump said, “Can you believe it? I’m taking CNN over Newsmax, can you believe it?”
The moment quickly ricocheted online, with supporters split between those cheering Trump for shutting down what they viewed as a clumsy line of questioning and those surprised to see him publicly dress down a right-leaning outlet.

Moments later, Trump took another swipe in Carter’s direction while pivoting to a broader complaint about Joe Kent, who resigned last week as director of the National Counterterrorism Center and criticized Trump over Iran.
