NEW: Bill Barr Vindicates Trump In Surprising Twist
Former Attorney General William “Bill” Barr, who served during the first Trump administration, said that he never saw any evidence that President Donald Trump ever intervened or committed any sort of crime connected to the infamous human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
Barr delivered testimony on Monday during a closed-door deposition by the House Oversight Committee. During his testimony, Barr made it clear that the president never gave any input or direction concerning Epstein’s death or his criminal case. The source revealed that Barr was fully cooperative and gave answers to questions from both Republicans and Democrats.
The same source said that Barr told the committee that if any incriminating evidence against President Trump existed, the Justice Department under former President Joe Biden’s leadership and direction would have most certainly released it already. He also said he believes Epstein’s death was a suicide.

According to the Daily Caller, Barr is the first of six former attorneys general subpoenaed by James Comer, the chair of the House Oversight Committee.
“Former Attorneys General Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, Merrick Garland, Jeff Sessions and Alberto Gonzales each received letters outlining the focus of the investigation and explaining how their roles might relate to what they knew about the Epstein case,” the report said. “The subpoenas also include former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) directors James Comey and Robert S. Mueller III. Hillary and former President Bill Clinton were also subpoenaed by Comer.”
A spokesperson for the committee spoke with the outlet on Monday, saying that it has plans to withdraw the subpoena issued for Mueller due to health issues that “preclude him from being able to testify.”
Just ahead of Barr’s deposition on Monday, Comer spoke with members of the press, saying that the Justice Department is cooperating with the committee’s subpoena concerning files related to Jeffrey Epstein. He then said they are expecting to receive all the information they requested sometime soon.
Many individuals commenting on the story said they are skeptical that former President Bill Clinton will show up to offer testimony before the committee. The prevailing theory is that he will claim executive privilege. Some don’t think his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who lost two separate bids for the presidency, will provide any sort of testimony either, though many of the others who still remain on the list who have been subpoenaed will.
