NEW: Pam Bondi Vows To Prosecute FBI Agents Who Leak Information About ICE Raids
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi on Wednesday vowed to prosecute any FBI agents, or any other government officials who leak sensitive information about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids.
Earlier this week, border czar Tom Homan reported that at least one FBI employee had leaked information about a raid targeting members of the dangerous Tren de Aragua gang. The gang is based in Venezuela, though hundreds of members have flocked to the U.S. in recent years due to the Biden Administration’s failure to secure the nation’s borders.
Speaking with Sean Hannity on Fox News, Homan stated that he and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem have very likely identified the culprit who tipped off gang members about a raid in Aurora, Colorado and vowed to hold them accountable. “We know the first leak in Aurora is under current investigation. We think we’ve identified that person under investigation. Right now, the California leak, Secretary Noem, she’s correct – some of the information we’re receiving tends to lead toward the FBI,” he said.
Homan then reported that he had been in contact with the Department of Justice and suggested that the leakers would not only lose their jobs and pensions, but face criminal prosecution. “They have promised that not only will this person lose their job and lose their pension, they’re going to go to jail. They will criminally prosecute,” the border czar added.

On Wednesday, Attorney General Bondi confirmed that the matter is being investigated and vowed to prosecute any leakers who are found to have violated the law.
“Has the DOJ gotten any closer to determining if these leaks are coming from within the FBI? And what will the consequences be if they can identify the leakers from the FBI?” the attorney general’s office was asked by the Daily Caller.
“The great men and women in law enforcement standing behind me today, they deserve, they must be protected, and anytime anyone leaks or tips off anything regarding a pending investigation that jeopardizes lives. You’re telling a bad guy what’s about to happen. It could jeopardize the lives of all the men and women in law enforcement,” Bondi told the outlet.
“We will not stand for it. We will find you. We’re going to investigate it, no matter what agency it came from. We don’t know for certain. We have an open investigation, so I can’t talk about it in detail, but we will do everything in our power to hold you accountable and it is a crime, and you will be prosecuted when we find you,” she added.
The most recent leak was initially reported by the Los Angeles Times, which spilled the beans on a planned “large scale” illegal immigration raid planned in the Los Angeles area in the coming weeks. The report cited an “internal government document” that was provided to the outlet.
“The FBI is so corrupt,” DHS Secretary Noem said in response to the leak, seemingly confirming Homan’s statements to Fox News. “We will work with any and every agency to stop leaks and prosecute these crooked deep state agents to the fullest extent of the law.”
“We’ve already identified how this operation got leaked,” Homan told Fox News on Thursday. “I’ll deal with that today.”
“When we show up at these sites, this is a dangerous job for the men and women of ICE and Border Patrol and all the [Department of Justice] agencies,” he continued. “To have this type of interference puts our officers at great risk – not only the officers. It puts the aliens at great risk ’cause anything can happen when we take our eyes off the goal here.”
According to the most recent figures provided by ICE, 194 members of the Tren de Aragua gang have been arrested in the period between January 21 and February 3. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters that President Donald Trump has received assurances from Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro that he will accept the gang members after they are deported back to their home country.
