NEW: CNN Melts Down After Trump Orders ‘Boisterous’ Reporter To ‘Be Quiet’

President Donald Trump unloaded on CNN correspondent Kristen Holmes in the Oval Office on Monday, repeatedly ordering her to “be quiet” after she interrupted him with questions about aide Natalie Harp.

The tense exchange unfolded as Trump was responding to criticism from Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff, who had mocked the president over his relationship with Harp during a rally in Georgia.

Holmes asked Trump about Ossoff’s claim that he would rather “build his ballroom and travel with Natalie” than do the job of president.

Trump fired back by ridiculing the Georgia Democrat and defending renovations at the White House.

Trump called Ossoff a “Pee Wee Herman lookalike” and said that “we’re fixing a White House that hasn’t been taken care of.”

Holmes then attempted to jump in with another question about South Korea before Trump had finished speaking.

That did not go over well.

‘Quiet. Quiet. Quiet!’ Trump shouted at Holmes.

The president then accused the CNN reporter of being disrespectful, pointing out that 10-year-old Nathaniel Rai was standing nearby.

Rai was being recognized at the White House after he was rescued from dangerous surf in California last month.

‘You’re very disrespectful in front of this young man,’ Trump said.

Holmes continued trying to get her question in, prompting Trump to go after her again.

‘You’re a loud, boisterous person. You’re fake news,’ Trump added as he repeatedly told Holmes ‘be quiet’ while she battled to get her question across.

The confrontation quickly drew attention online, with White House officials rallying behind Trump and blasting Holmes over the exchange.

Outgoing White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt appeared visibly irritated after the question and was seen mouthing something to a colleague.

The White House‘s Rapid Response 47 account later issued a blistering attack on Holmes.

‘Someday, your children will come across your disgusting and inhumane question,’ said the official Rapid Response 47 account. ‘They will be sickened and embarrassed to have a parent be so callous and vindictive. It’s quite troubling.’

The White House also branded Holmes ‘a disgraceful, humiliating embarrassment to her alleged profession.’

Holmes is a senior White House correspondent for CNN and has worked at the network for more than 14 years.

The controversy comes as Trump’s relationship with Harp has again attracted attention following reports about an alleged Iranian assassination threat during the NATO summit in Turkey last month.

Harp was reportedly among a small group of aides who switched aircraft with Trump on the tarmac in Ankara after Israeli intelligence warned of a possible threat targeting Air Force One.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent remained aboard the original aircraft along with dozens of journalists.

Harp has become one of Trump’s most visible aides and is frequently seen traveling alongside the president.

She has been nicknamed Trump’s ‘human printer’ because of her habit of providing him with printed copies of news articles, social media posts and other material.

She has also been spotted keeping close to Trump during trips and events, including running behind his golf cart in Scotland while delivering updates.

Sources have described Harp as Donald Trump‘s ‘connective tissue’ and have said she enjoys extraordinary access to the president.

But Monday’s Oval Office clash quickly became less about Harp and more about Trump’s latest showdown with CNN.

With a young guest standing nearby, Trump made it clear he had little patience for Holmes talking over him, and the White House wasted no time backing him up afterward.
