NEW: Dan Bongino Hints At Serious Consequences For Adam Schiff In Cryptic Clip
Dan Bongino told viewers of his podcast over the weekend that Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is “worried” about his future. A day later, Bongino was tapped as deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and many believe the message was a cryptic hint at bad things to come for Schiff.
In a warning to the California Democrat, Bongino, 50, said he is not ready to “move on” from the baseless Trump-Russia collusion hoax perpetrated by Schiff and other Trump opponents during his first term.
“I’m not letting this go. I wanna find out what happened because it can never happen again,” the former Secret Service agent said. “We had the FBI, in conjunction with the Department of Justice, officials in Congress, foreign governments, and intel people fabricate a story, invent a story that could have done serious and long-term harm to international relations with a nuclear-powered foe.”

In March of 2017, Schiff, then a member of the U.S. House, supported calls for an investigation of the Trump campaign’s alleged connections to Russian agents and claimed to have seen “more than circumstantial evidence” of collusion. Even after Republicans, who controlled the House at the time, closed the investigation, Schiff was among a handful of Democrats to release a 21-page report outlining plans to continue the investigation.
The allegations that Trump’s campaign coordinated with Russian sources to deliver dirt on Hillary Clinton died finally with the May 2023 report by special counsel John Durham, who concluded that no evidence of a connection existed. In it, Durham states that the FBI suffered from a “lack of analytical rigor” when examining the baseless connection.
To Bongino, those wounds are still fresh.
“You do not get to change the course of electoral politics by fabricating a story, hijacking the justice system to give a patina of truth to a fake story,” he went on. “Why do I bring that up now? Because who was the ring master of that circus? Yes, Adam Schiff and no, I’m not letting it go.”
Trump on Sunday announced via Truth Social that Bongino would serve as Kash Patel’s number two, empowering both staunch allies to purge the Bureau of the weaponization he has long claimed was used against him both in office and his four criminal trials. The FBI infamously raided Mar-a-Lago during its 2022 search for classified documents, a scene that was captured on national TV and which Trump hasn’t forgotten. The case was later dismissed.
Bongino, who served in the U.S. Secret Service from 1999 to 2011, has excoriated his former agency for security lapses leading up to the July 2024 assassination attempt against President Trump. The fallout was swift, leading to the resignation of the service’s director and eventually the resignation of its acting director in favor of Sean Curran, the longtime head of Trump’s personal protective detail.
In his statement, Trump complimented Bongino for his dogged criticisms of the Secret Service, saying his eye for oversight would be an asset for Patel and the FBI.
Bongino is “a highly respected Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, and is now one of the most successful Podcasters in the Country, something he is willing and prepared to give up in order to serve,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Working with our great new United States Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and Director Patel, Fairness, Justice, Law and Order will be brought back to America, and quickly. Congratulations Dan!”
