NEW: Democrats Turn On Their Own After Devastating Election Night: ‘Abandoned Working Class People’
Democrat lawmakers and pundits are playing the blame game in the aftermath of Vice President Kamala Harris’ crushing defeat on Tuesday night, a disastrous cap on a race that could make President-elect Trump the first Republican presidential candidate to win the popular vote in 20 years.
U.S. Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) — a moderate Democrat who has been highly critical of the party’s embrace of pro-Hamas rhetoric — blamed Harris’ defeat on the far left.
“Donald Trump has no greater friend than the far left, which has managed to alienate historic numbers of Latinos, Blacks, Asians, and Jews from the Democratic Party with absurdities like ‘Defund the Police’ or ‘From the River to the Sea’ or ‘Latinx,'” Torres wrote in an X post on Wednesday morning. “There is more to lose than there is to gain politically from pandering to a far left that is more representative of Twitter, Twitch, and TikTok than it is of the real world. The working class is not buying the ivory-towered nonsense that the far left is selling.”

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) chastised Democrats for downplaying economic concerns expressed by Americans throughout the campaign cycle.
“It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them,” the former presidential candidate posted on X. “While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they’re right.”

Fox News host Jesse Watters reported that former President Barack Obama is “annoyed” with his former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, over her quick endorsement of Vice President Harris when President Biden suspended his presidential campaign back in July. Obama did not mention Harris in his initial response to Biden’s decision to drop out, which was heavily influenced by Obama himself, according to several sources.
The former president instead called for an “open process” and was keen on backing Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ), but Hillary and Bill Clinton immediately endorsed Harris, and were quickly followed by an endorsement from President Biden that effectively derailed the Obama-Pelosi plan.
On the media front, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough slandered Latino Americans as “racists” and “misogynists” after the president-elect garnered support from unprecedented numbers of Latino voters.
The “Morning Joe” host erupted into a lengthy tirade against “misogyny from Black men, from Hispanic men — things we’ve all been talking about — who do not want a woman leading them.”
MSNBC’s Al Sharpton nodded in agreement as Scarborough continued his rant. “Might be race issues with Hispanics that don’t want a Black woman as President of the United States. You know, the… the Democratic Party that I’ve always found when you’re sitting around talking, they love to just sort of balkanize everybody into sort of these separate groups and say ‘oh, white people don’t like women and Black pe… no!” he shouted, pointing at Sharpton. “You and I have talked about this before. A lot of Hispanic voters have problems with Black candidates!”
