NEW: DNC Caught Red-Handed Posting Fake Video Of Donald Trump Jr.
A deepfake recording purporting to show Donald Trump Jr. advocating for arming Russian forces was shared by an official account for the national Democratic Party, fueling outrage against the deeply unpopular opposition party and forcing its communications team to retract related social media posts.
In the short audio clip, which appears to show the president’s son speaking with an unknown person, Trump Jr. essentially jokes about the hopelessness of Ukraine’s war effort and suggests that the U.S. “should have been sending weapons to Russia” instead.
“I honestly can’t imagine anyone in their right mind picking Ukraine as an ally when Russia is the other option,” a fake Trump Jr. voice said in the debunked clip.
“I mean, just think about it: Massive nuclear power loaded with natural resources everyone needs, literally the biggest country on the planet. And ha ha, there’s Ukraine, which has Chernobyl, and some radiation-proof dogs,” he continued in the fake clip. “Meanwhile, the Biden administration is like, ‘Oh, yeah, this is definitely the ally we need. Let’s dump all our money into them.’ Honestly, if anything, the U.S. should have been sending weapons to Russia.”
The audio of the imaginary discussion quickly went viral and was reposted on X by FactPost, an arm of the Democratic National Committee, which had taken down the post by Thursday. Conservative accounts, however, saved and reshared it with their own condemnations.
“An official DNC account —@factpostnews (run by former Kamala staffers) — posted fake, AI generated “audio” of Don Jr.,” wrote Johnny Maga. “This is who we’re dealing with on the left.”

Traced back to its original source, the clip is said to have been lifted from the latest episode of the first son’s podcast, “Triggered with Donald Trump Jr.” However, that episode hadn’t yet been posted publicly; when it was, a Rumble recording reviewed by Mediaite confirmed that Trump Jr. did not make the alleged statement.
“This audio is absolutely, 100% fake,” Drew Lynch, the program’s executive producer, wrote on X. He was echoed by a spokesperson for Trump Jr. who posted, “This is 100% fake AI generated audio, but I’m sure that won’t stop anti-Trump resistance accounts from continuing to dishonestly spread it.”
The fake comments come shortly after President Donald Trump labeled Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a “dictator” for suspending the country’s election during the three-year war effort. Critics have argued that Trump has become too lenient on Russia, citing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s recent assertion that returning Ukraine to its original boundaries was a non-starter for negotiations.
