NEW: Elon Musk Announces Lawsuit Against Ousted Democrat Over Slanderous ‘Nazi’ Claims
Elon Musk announced that he will be suing former U.S. Rep. Jamaal Bowman after he falsely claimed the Tesla, X, and SpaceX boss is a “Nazi” during an appearance on CNN.
Bowman — who represented New York’s 16th Congressional District for two terms before suffering a crushing defeat to a primary challenger last year — appeared on CNN’s “NewsNight” to discuss the rise in left-wing activists “confronting” Republican lawmakers at town halls. Despite the fact that Democrat Party approval rating has plunged to record lows, while Trump’s favorability remains near record highs, left-wing activists, lawmakers, and media outlets such as CNN have attempted to claim there is an organic groundswell of outrage directed at the Republican Party due to DOGE cuts.
Democratic National Committee chair Ken Martin has pointed to the protests — which began immediately after he was elected — as evidence of “opposition” to the Trump Administration.
Bowman became the latest Democrat to advance the narrative on Friday night when he made a number of slanderous claims about Musk and the alleged widespread opposition to DOGE, even though recent polling data has measured widespread support for the initiative. “This shows again, the American people do not trust Elon Musk and Elon Musk is incompetent in his position,” the former congressman said.
“And how do we know? Because they fired tens of thousands of people, it was challenged in court, the court said the people have to go back and now the people are coming back. He’s incompetent, he’s a thief, he’s a Nazi, and people don’t trust him. Period.”
Musk has not only never endorsed Nazi ideology, he has condemned it on numerous occasions. He was, however, recently accused of giving a Nazi salute while speaking at a Trump victory rally.
Footage from the event clearly shows that the DOGE chief was pointing to someone in the crowd before raising his fist in the air. Media outlets and left-wing entities immediately pounced on doctored clips from the rally to falsely accuse Musk of giving a salute.
The smear has persisted even though the Anti-Defamation League — which has engaged in widespread censorship of conservative political entities in the past — went so far as to directly refute the claim.
In response to Bowman’s claim, Musk took to X to announce that he will be taking legal action. “I’ve had enough. Lawsuit inbound,” Musk wrote.
