NEW: Elon Musk Cancels Netflix Subscription Over Pro-Trans Children’s Show

Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk announced Tuesday that he had cancelled his Netflix subscription over an animated show that promotes transgender ideology to minors.

The show in question, “Dead End: Paranormal Park,” is marketed as a horror, pro-LGBT show targeted towards children, according to the show’s website. The show aired for two seasons before it was not renewed for a third in early 2003.

Episodes of the show have generated controversy among conservatives  in the past due to its promotion of transgender ideology and other LGBT themes to minors. Controversy reignited on Monday when the popular Libs of TikTok account drew attention to a season 2, episode 9 installment of the show in which the main character goes on a monologue about his transgender identity.

“It’s not the park. It’s me. I’m trans,” the character says. “And everyone at school knows, and everyone at home knows.” The character goes on to describe how the park makes him feel free to embrace his “gender identity.”

And being here, it’s like a whole new place. I can just be Barney. And I can choose if and when I tell people. I’ve never been happier.”

Libs of TikTok further revealed that the creator of the show, Hamish Steele, celebrated the murder of conservative icon Charlie Kirk. “Why the f**k are you even commenting on this? You sympathy for any of the families being slaughtered by your weapons but a random nazi gets shot and it’s a public statement. You’re such a fu**ing evil shit,” Steele, who lists his “preferred pronouns” as “he/they,” posted on Bluesky in response to a sympathetic statement on the murder.

In response to the renewed spotlight on the show, as well as other Netflix-produced children’s shows that promote transgender and LGBT ideology to children, a number of social media users announced that they would be cancelling their Netflix subscriptions.

“Just cancelled my Netflix subscription,” said conservative activist Matt Van Swol. “If you employ someone who celebrated the murder of Charlie Kirk and makes content that pushes pro-trans content on my kids… you will NEVER get a dime of my money. It’s as simple as that.”

The post was quoted by X platform Elon Musk, who replied with “Same.”
