NEW: Feds Shipped ‘Pallets’ Of Documents To Mar-A-Lago Before Raid
In a disclosure that could reshape public perceptions of last year’s high-profile raid on Mar-a-Lago, federal records and email correspondences unearthed through investigative reporting and a General Services Administration (GSA) document indicate that the federal government had shipped several pallets containing “document boxes” from former President Donald Trump’s administration to his Mar-a-Lago estate a full year before the raid by Special Counsel Jack Smith.
According to an article published by The Federalist, two out of six pallets designated for movement were sent from an Arlington, Virginia facility directly to Mar-a-Lago. The move was part of a larger operation that involved transferring items necessary to wind down the Office of the Former President, as well as items that were the property of the Federal Government.
The emails first disclosed in a GSA document lay out a detailed inventory and transfer operation handled by Kathy Geisler of the GSA, who coordinated with Trump aide Beau Harrison about the logistics. The emails confirm that the initial plan was modified shortly before the shipment, increasing the number of pallets going to a West Palm Beach storage unit while ensuring that two pallets reached the former President’s residence.

Back in August 2022, the FBI conducted the raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate as part of the investigation into his handling of presidential records. The investigation focused on allegations that Trump had improperly removed or destroyed public records, actions which some claim could violate the Espionage Act. A U.S. Magistrate Judge reviewed and approved the search warrant, which targeted the ’45 Office’, all storage rooms, and any other areas at Mar-a-Lago likely to house these documents.
So an entire pallet full of boxes that had been held by GSA somewhere outside of DC is dumped at Mar-a-Lago. Apparently these are the boxes that ended up containing papers with "classified markings."

During the raid, FBI agents seized various items including documents bearing classification markings and boxes suspected to contain presidential records. The raid was motivated by Trump’s non-compliance with a subpoena demanding the return of materials believed to encompass national security information, amid concerns that these could potentially be destroyed.
An unsealed transcript revealed that the General Services Administration (GSA) was storing a large quantity of former President Trump’s boxes in Virginia before they were transferred to Mar-a-Lago. This new detail comes from an FBI agent’s interview included in recently un-redacted court motions in Florida. According to the transcript, the boxes, which were later found to contain documents with classified markings, were not previously known to have been part of the timeline concerning Trump’s handling of classified materials.
The transportation of documents occurred against the backdrop of increasing scrutiny from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), which had been frustrated with Trump’s team over the pace of efforts to return government records. In a further twist, the report cites an independent journalist’s discovery of a transcript wherein an FBI agent acknowledges the GSA’s possession of six pallets, hinting at some level of federal oversight before the documents eventually ended up in Florida.
Over the ensuing months, the situation intensified as the Justice Department issued multiple subpoenas, conducted additional searches, and heightened their investigation. However, Trump’s legal team has continued to advocate for a fair and lawful resolution to the matter.
