New Footage Of ICE-Involved Shooting In Minneapolis Emerges

New footage has emerged of the moment an anti-ICE agitator was shot while accelerating towards federal agents in Minneapolis.

The incident occurred shortly after 11 a.m. local time when federal agents were conducting immigration enforcement operations in South Minneapolis, near East 34th Street and Portland Avenue in the Powderhorn community.

DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin confirmed that ICE agents were involved in a shooting after a far-left anti-ICE activist attempted to run them over during an operation.

“Today, ICE officers in Minneapolis were conducting targeted operations when rioters began blocking ICE officers and one of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them—an act of domestic terrorism,” she wrote. One officer was then forced to open fire after fearing for his life, McLaughlin added.

DHS further confirmed that the driver, identified only at this time as a woman who is believed to be a U.S. citizen, was shot and killed.

“This is the direct consequence of constant attacks and demonization of our officers by sanctuary politicians who fuel and encourage rampant assaults on our law enforcement. These men and women who are simply enforcing the law on the books are facing 1,300% increase in assaults against them and an 8,000% increase in death threats,” McLaughlin continued.

Multiple angles of the shooting, which were filmed by eyewitnesses, have been uploaded on social media. One clear angle shows the woman’s vehicle, a dark SUV, boxing in federal agents as they were exiting a scene.

At least four agents then approached her and told her to exit the vehicle. At that point, the woman turned around and accelerated forward, prompting an agent standing directly in front of the car to open fire.

The video can be viewed below. Viewer discretion is advised.

Following the shooting, a large mob of left-wing rioters surrounded federal agents and proceeded to hurl projectiles as they tried to make their exit. They ultimately managed to do so, and the scene was taken over by Minneapolis Police.

Federal agents have been targeted by several vehicle-ramming attacks while conducting immigration operations nationwide. In total, ICE reported a 1,300% increase in attacks targeting agents last year.
