NEW: ‘Full House’ Star Refuses To Apologize For Event At Mar-A-Lago

One of the unforgettable faces of “Full House” isn’t asking for forgiveness after appearing at Mar-a-Lago, prompting liberal activists to call for his cancellation.

John Stamos, the breezy 61-year-old who played uncle Jesse Katsopolis on the popular 1980s and 90s sitcom, is firing back after being criticized for attending a charity event in support of nurses at President Donald Trump’s estate in Palm Beach, Florida. The swanky black-tie dinner included remarks by Stamos, according to photographs circulating online.

In a statement, the actor refused to apologize for his participation in the charity event and accused far-left activists of trying to politicize a cause to benefit first responders.

“I accepted the invitation to emcee the Palm Beach Ray of Hope Gala – an evening dedicated to honoring and uplifting our frontline heroes,” Stamos wrote in a statement, the Western Journal reported. “This nonpartisan event supports The Academy for Nursing and Health Occupations, a 501(c) (3) organization that trains 350-400 nurses every year, directly addressing the critical shortage of healthcare professionals in Palm Beach County.”

“Supporting nurses isn’t political – it’s essential,” the actor added. “These are the people who care for us and our families when we need it most, and I believe we should show up for them with the same unwavering dedication they show up with every single day. I stand by the importance of healthcare, of service, and of investing in those who care for our communities.”

Stamos, a classic Hollywood liberal, used the controversy to encourage more donations to the nursing nonprofit.

“My values and political views remain unchanged… if you don’t donate to Palm Beach Ray of Hope, then please consider donating to” Democracy Forward, a liberal voter mobilization organization, his post concluded.

Despite Stamos fundraising and stumping for Barack Obama and Kamala Harris, “a modern day Hitler bought his loyalty,” one user wrote on X.

A trans activist reacted, “John Stamos is no longer my Uncle Jesse. He can F all the way off to Mar-a-Lago.”

“John Stamos at Mar-a-Lago? Disappointing. Uncle Jesse would never. Time to cancel Full House reruns, can’t watch without thinking of this betrayal. What’s next, DJ Tanner at a MAGA rally? Gross,” another progressive user wrote on Sunday.

Stamos’ fame stems from his time on “Full House,” which ran for eight seasons between 1987 and 1995 and is considered one of the most enduring shows in television history. He played a supporting role to the late Bob Saget, whose character Danny Tanner welcomes Stamos’ character and his friend Joey, played by Dave Coulier, into his home as they learn the ropes of caring for Tanner’s three young daughters in a widowed household.

The Mar-a-Lago event wasn’t Stamos’s first time raising funds for first responders. Fox News reported that he has been a philanthropist to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Academy and has always considered himself “pro-cop.”

“If you’re not helping out the community, what are you doing right? You know, it’s my community,” the “General Hospital” star told the outlet in 2022. “I was so touched by this story, which was, well these recruits were not only just young kids trying to do their best. A lot of these kids were also trying to get out of situations that they were in… bad situations, avoiding being in gangs.”

“I grew up here, so it’s doubly sensitive for me,” he said. “I’ve always been pro-cop. I’m teaching my son to be. Any time we see an officer in our neighborhood, we go say ‘hi’ and say ‘thank you.’
