NEW: Ilhan Omar Caught In Scandal Amid LA Riots: ‘Death To The Empire’

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is once again in hot water because of her left-wing daughter’s unhinged rant about the anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles.

Isra Hirsi created a story for her social media account featuring children in a rundown neighborhood playing with a jump rope. The caption on the image says, “From LA to Rafah, there is one common oppressor. Death to the colonial empire. Life for our children.”

With all that’s happening in L.A. at the moment, many on social media believe the post to be in very poor taste. Others are more concerned about the wishing death to America part of the caption, a phrase we’ve heard many times from the people of Iran.

One user on X demanded that Hirsi be booted out of the country for her comments. Another, dripping with sarcasm, posted, “How unlike her mother to express such sentiments. She must have gotten this from her uncle/father.”

Someone else noted how the statement sounds “insurrection-y.”

This isn’t the only time Hirsi has been in trouble for political activism. In April 2024, Omar’s daughter was suspended from Barnard College after participating in a pro-Palestinian protest held at Columbia University.

According to CBS News, Hirsi wrote about her experience on X. In the post, she revealed she works as an organizer for Columbia University Apartheid Divest, a group advocating for the college to divest from “companies complicit in genocide.”

“I just received notice that I am 1 of 3 students suspended for standing in solidarity with Palestinians facing a genocide,” she said.

At the time of the incident, Hirsi was a junior, and according to her account, had never received a reprimand, disciplinary actions, or warnings before the protest.

Police made several arrests at the encampment that was established on the school’s quad. Minouche Shafik, president of Columbia University, asked New York law enforcement in a letter to remove the crowd. He accused the 100 individuals of interfering with the university’s operations, failing to comply with its policies, and damaging campus property.

“Demonstrations started on Wednesday as Shafik testified before Congress, where she was accused of failing to discipline students for antisemitic rhetoric. She said the rights of Jewish students to learn in an environment free of discrimination have been a central issue at the school since the Hamas attack on Israel on Oct. 7,” the report said.

“Those of us in Gaza Solidarity Encampment will not be intimidated. We will stand resolute until our demands are met,” Hirsi said at the time.
