NEW: James Comey Caught In Major Scandal After Shocking Post Seen As Threat To Trump

Former FBI Director James Comey is facing backlash after seemingly threatening President Donald Trump in a social media post.

Comey, who was fired by the president in his first term after emerging as a key player in the bogus Russian collusion hoax, posted a formation of beach shells arranged with the numbers, “86, 47.”

As a slang term, “86” means to get rid of or kill something or somebody, oftentimes abruptly. The term’s origin is unclear, though it likely originated in the United States sometime in the 1930’s and is seldom used today.

The “47” refers to President Trump, who is currently serving as the 47th President of the United States. The post has led prominent conservatives to call for a formal investigation, many of whom have argued that Comey was calling for President Trump to be assassinated.

“Just James Comey causally calling for my dad to be murdered,” the president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., wrote in an X post. “This is who the Dem-Media worships. Demented!!!!”

“This is a call for the assassination of President Trump by the former FBI Director!” said veteran investigative journalist Laura Loomer in an X post of her own. “Arrest James Comey. Trend it,” said another prominent conservative influencer to his 3.7 million X followers.

According to a report from Florida’s Voice citing an unnamed FBI official, the bureau has been made aware of Comey’s post. Eric Daugherty, the outlet’s assistant news director, said the White House is taking Comey’s alleged threat “seriously,” calling it “what can clearly be interpreted as ‘a hit’ on the sitting President of the United States.”

Comey, 64, was appointed the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) by President Barack Obama in 2013, and served in that role until he was fired by President Trump in 2017.

According to a protected disclosure made by an FBI agent, Comey authorized an investigation into Trump shortly after he announced his candidacy in 2015. The operation, which was off-the-books and involved two female FBI undercover agents, was launched even though the bureau had no evidence to suggest Trump committed any crimes.

The agents reportedly infiltrated Trump’s 2016 campaign at high levels and acted as “honeypots,” according to the whistleblower. They were instructed to travel with Trump and his campaign staff, gathering intelligence under this guise.

In intelligence terms, a “honeypot” is an agent who pretends to have romantic or sexual intentions to gather information from someone. The whistleblower claims that Comey directly orchestrated this operation without any concrete crime as its basis, indicating it was a broad attempt to find any possible misconduct in the Trump campaign.

The FBI, now under the leadership of Kash Patel, opened an investigation into the alleged scheme back in February.

The investigation is expected to examine the extent of the surveillance and the decision-making processes that led to such measures. This inquiry adds to the ongoing discourse about the FBI’s role and impartiality in political matters, especially concerning high-profile figures and election-related activities.
