NEW: Jasmine Crockett’s Former Staffers Blow The Whistle, Expose Toxic Behavior

The hard times are getting worse for a notorious “Squad” member who last week ejected a member of the press from her office.

Current and former staffers of Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) are blasting their boss as a toxic and slothful stateswoman who spends more time screaming at them over the phone from her home, where she often stays rather than showing up to the office.

“She is laying around her apartment, won’t come into the office, and is really just indifferent to staff and will scream at them,” a former aide told the NY Post.

In many ways, the outsize attention on Crockett was brought on herself. She treated a liberal reporter from The Atlantic to a behind-the-scenes look at her office only to banish the young woman after she began asking other Democratic lawmakers how they feel about Crockett.

But the internet’s ire for the two-term Democrat was stoked months earlier when she referred to her home state governor, Greg Abbott, as “Governor Hot Wheels.” Crockett responded to the bipartisan blowback by claiming she was not referring to Abbott’s use of a wheelchair.

Now, staffers are saying there’s some truth to the rumors that Crockett is only out for herself.

“She is never in the office and is very disengaged. She does her bulls— that goes viral, and then freaks out over the most random things,” the former aide said.

A source close to Crockett added, “It is widely known that she’s not nice to staff and is just not a really dedicated member focused on constituents.”

“She is focused almost exclusively on being an influencer, not a member of Congress,” said a third person familiar with how Crockett behaves when the cameras are off, calling her “all diva, no wow.”

When she manages to arrive on Capitol Hill for a hearing, Crockett demands her staffers rent a pricey car and drive her rather than use their own modest vehicles, a common practice among her colleagues.

It “has to be an Escalade” for Crockett, sources have said, adding she sits in the car until one of them open the door for her.

“You’re technically allowed to do this but it’s wildly inefficient. Instead of using the scheduler’s car, she rents a car every week in DC,” one source said.

“She expects her staff to drive her around while she’s in the back seat,” they told the NY Post, calling it a “power play” akin to “treating the staffer like an Uber driver.”

Crockett, a former criminal defense attorney, was first elected in 2020 and has piggybacked off her infamy from viral videos where she spars with Republicans in hearings, often in crude and vulgar terms.

Lesbian employees on Capitol Hill objected to her pejorative hurled at Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) last year when she labeled the MAGA lawmaker “butch” for her appearance.

“She told her gay staff members, ‘That’s not offensive. You’re stupid if you think so,’” a former aide recounted to the Post. “It was kind of like how Trump says, ‘The gays love me.’”
