NEW: Kai Trump Reveals Her Politics For First Time With Surprising Comments

President Trump’s granddaughter Kai Trump says she wants nothing to do with the political brawls that dominate Washington, calling politics “a dangerous thing” and urging Americans to find common ground.

Kai, the 18-year-old daughter of Donald Trump Jr., made the remarks during a wide-ranging appearance on Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast, published Monday. She said she stays “completely” out of politics and harbors no ill will toward her grandfather’s 2024 opponent, former Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I don’t want anything to do with politics because I feel like politics is such a dangerous thing,” she said.

Kai said she has watched both the left and the right drift toward more extreme positions, a trend she largely blamed on social media and its algorithm-driven echo chambers.

“I think if both sides met in the middle, everyone would be so much more happier and I think there’s a lot of this radical left and there’s a radical right and there’s a lot of people that are getting too extreme,” she said.

She added that social media feeds tend to push users in one direction or the other, leaving little room for moderation.

“There’s not a lot of things on social media where you’re very much in the middle and I think that kinda makes some people crazy and some people buy into it too much.”

Pressed by Paul on whether Harris was the “opps,” Kai brushed off the suggestion.

“There’s no bad blood. I’m very much in the middle. I’m kind of like ‘It is what it is.’ They ran against each other, obviously I’m going to support my grandpa, my family member, but that’s pretty much it.”

She also spoke about her cousin Barron Trump, whom Paul referred to as “Uncle B,” describing him as low-key and uninterested in the spotlight.

“He’s a great guy,” she said. “He doesn’t like the public eye so much, which I understand. But he’s a great guy.”

Barron, 19, is currently attending New York University’s business school in Washington, D.C.

Kai said she couldn’t be sure what Barron whispered to former President Joe Biden during President Trump’s second inauguration, but insisted it would have been “nice.”

The first granddaughter also opened up about the realities of dating with Secret Service protection close by, calling it awkward at times.

“It’s a little weird,” she said.

Even when she’s out with friends, she said she tries to tune out the agents trailing her.

“I try my best to not let it bother me and I think I’ve learned, especially the past year now … to know yes, they’re following me, but also focus and pretend like they’re not there,” she said.

“But the first few months, it was tough.”

Kai, an accomplished golfer, is set to play at the University of Miami next year.
