NEW: Kash Patel Goes Scorched Earth On ‘Lying’ Media After Russiagate Discoveries

FBI Director Kash Patel is calling on the mainstream media to challenge his recent disclosures on the Russian collusion hoax after several outlets referred to the new information as “false” and “misleading.”

Patel’s comments come after the recent discovery of a number of “burn bags” containing thousands of documents relating to the formation of the Russian collusion hoax, which were discovered at the bureau’s D.C. headquarters. “Burn bags” are typically used to destroy documents that are classified or otherwise highly sensitive.

One of the burn bags reportedly contained the classified annex of special counsel John Durham’s report, which found no evidence of collusion and faulted the government for its initial investigation into the matter. Some of the underlying intelligence uncovered by Durham was inside those bags, Patel claimed, signaling that Biden’s FBI may have been eager to destroy evidence that exonerated President Trump prior to the start of his second administration.

Now, the classified annex of information is being declassified with the help of CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Patel, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and acting National Security Agency Director William Hartman. The administration is set to eventually deliver a final, redacted version of the newly-discovered documents to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

In an X post Saturday, Patel challenged the mainstream media to debunk the new discoveries by pointing to his previous role as senior counsel for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence during President Trump’s first term in office.

“In 2017/18, I proved the Steele Dossier was fictitious intelligence, weaponized by corrupt FBI officials to deceive a federal judge and unlawfully spy on then presidential candidate Trump’s campaign — all paid for by his opponent,” Patel wrote. He then noted that at the time, the media called him a “liar.”

“Now I’m the FBI Director: We just uncovered burn bags/room filled with hidden Russia Gate files, including the Durham annex, and declassified them,” Patel continued. “Once again, I released the prior FBI’s own documents and exposed the truth. The same media is calling me a liar again.”

The director went on to strongly suggest that additional document releases will be coming shortly before adding a parting jab at the mainstream media over their Russia hoax reporting, which led to Pulitzer Prizes for outlets like the New York Times over reporting that ended up being completely false. “Maybe this FBI will release more docs directly, from FBI HQ… so we can see who is lying — wouldn’t want to deprive the fake news of more bogus Pulitzers. And then…”

The latest update comes after DNI Gabbard declassified a series of documents outlining how former President Barack Obama and a number of his senior underlings, including former CIA Director John Brennan, former DNI James Clapper and former FBI Director James Comey, knew that Russian interference played no material role on the 2016 election.

Despite this, the senior intelligence officials signed off on a bogus report claiming otherwise, which was used to launch the bogus investigation that tied down Trump’s first term.
