NEW: Letter Shows Ashley Biden Confirming Authenticity Of Shocking Diary
Ashley Biden, daughter of President Joe Biden, has confirmed the authenticity of her personal diary. The confirmation comes as part of a judicial proceeding against Aimee Harris, convicted of the theft and sale of the sensitive journal. The diary has been at the center of controversy due to its content, which critics of the Biden administration have pointed to as evidence of inappropriate behavior by the President.
Ashley’s recent letter addressed to Chief Judge Laura Taylor Swain of New York, was made public through court documents. The letter is a significant component in the ongoing case against Harris, who is accused of capitalizing on the private reflections of Biden for profit. In her letter, Ashley expressed her deep distress over the violation of her privacy and the public dissemination of her personal thoughts, which she described as “stream-of-consciousness musings meant for personal healing.”
Harris, who admitted to stealing a diary belonging to Joe Biden’s daughter and selling it to the conservative group Project Veritas, was sentenced to a month in prison last month.
The disclosure of the diary’s contents had previously stirred up a media storm, with various outlets and public figures interpreting its entries in ways that painted the President in a highly negative light. The excerpts, which included ambiguous remarks about a shower with her father, were seized upon by commentators as proof of “perverted acts.”
In her letter, Ashley made a plea to Judge Swain, asking for a strict sentence for Harris, claiming ongoing trauma and anxiety caused by the theft and public circulation of her diary. “This ongoing harm is a direct result of Ms. Harris’s intentional actions,” she wrote in the letter obtained by The New York Times.

“I ask Your Honor to sentence Ms. Harris to time in prison followed by lengthy probation. She should be held accountable for what she has done. Not only did she demonstrate a complete lack of morality, but she lacks any respect for the rule of law as well. Among other things, she has failed to appear in court 12 times.”
Ashley Biden’s diary came to public attention in October 2020, when it was reported that some of its contents were being leaked. The diary allegedly contained personal reflections and experiences. The circumstances around how the diary’s contents became public have been controversial and involved questions about privacy and legality.
In August 2022, Harris entered a guilty plea to a charge of conspiracy, acknowledging her role in the sale of personal items belonging to Ashley Biden to Project Veritas. The conservative activist group is known for conducting undercover sting operations and publishing hidden-camera videos aimed at exposing bias and misconduct in the media and other institutions.
“The despair I have often felt will never truly go away. But I ask YourHonor to hold Ms. Harris accountable so that she thinks twice before doing it to someone else. I have spent much of my life trying to speak up for those who cannot find their voices. I am fortunate enough to have found mine, and I use it today— and every day—to make sure that bullies are held accountable,” Ashley wrote in the letter from April.
