NBC’s Andrea Mitchell urged Vice President Harris to focus on doing more serious interviews, pointing to troubling poll numbers among male voters.

“They have to double down on doing more interviews and serious interviews because what I’m hearing from Democratic and Republican business people and a lot of men. She has such a big problem with men,” Mitchell said during Sunday’s installment of “Meet The Press.”

“I think there’s an undercount of the Trump vote. I think there’s misogyny in all of this, black and white men, big problem.”

The longtime NBC host added, “Also, in the business world, they don’t think she is serious. They don’t think she’s a heavyweight. A lot of this is gender, but she’s got to be more specific about her economic plans.”

Polling for Trump and Harris has indeed split along gender lines, with women breaking for Harris and men for Trump.

Trump is performing the best among men, white evangelical Christians, rural voters, and white men without a college degree. Harris is doing well with black voters, women, those with a college degree and voters under 30.

A recent ABC News/Ipsos poll found Harris leading among women by 13 percentage points, 54 percent to 41 percent, while Trump maintained his lead among men by five percentage points.
