NEW: Phil And Kay Robertson Back Together ‘In Facility’

It’s been a challenging stretch for the Robertson family, but there’s a silver lining: Phil and Miss Kay Robertson are finally back under the same roof.

The “Duck Dynasty” couple, married nearly 60 years, have recently been reunited in a care facility, according to their sons Jase and Al Robertson. The update came during the April 11 episode of their podcast Unashamed with the Robertson Family, where they spoke candidly about both parents’ ongoing health battles.

“We now have Phil and Kay back together. It has been fantastic,” Jase said.

Phil Robertson, 78, has been under “professional care” for months due to a series of serious health issues, including a blood disorder, back injuries, and a diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer’s. Miss Kay, meanwhile, has been recovering from an infection sustained after a fall.

“My dad’s not doing great overall, and my mom is not doing great physically,” Jase explained. “She has to have pretty much 24/7 professional healthcare, but my dad, it’s like, ‘You’re helping her morale.’ She’s helping his morale.”

That shared comfort has made a difference, Al added. “He’s been so much calmer since she came back.”

While the Robertsons are known for their close-knit values and deep faith, the strain of both Phil and Kay declining at the same time hasn’t gone unnoticed by their extended family. Still, the reunion seems to have brought some much-needed relief, and even moments of levity.

“We’re making him comfortable, and we’re doing the best we can,” Jase said. “I think that’s just what you do.”

Jase noted that the two have their own private room inside a facility that also houses other patients, creating a sense of both privacy and community. Visitors have been plentiful—so much so, in fact, that the family has had to consider limiting them.

“We’re being disruptive,” Jase admitted, joking that the staff may need to address the constant flow of people from “Kay’s Kingdom” and “Phil’s Kingdom” who stop in to see the couple.

During the episode, guest Jill Dasher, wife of Robertson cousin Zach Dasher, shared a humorous exchange involving Phil and Miss Kay’s hair. Due to her recovery, she hasn’t been able to dye it, prompting a trademark Phil comment: “What’s Kay got going on [with] that half-devil hair?”

Jase laughed about it, saying the couple bickers a bit like they always have. “They’re helping each other, so that’s been positive,” he said.

Earlier this year, the Robertson family revealed that Phil’s health had taken a significant turn for the worse. In December, Jase first disclosed that his father was dealing with the “early stages of Alzheimer’s,” saying the condition had accelerated and was affecting his entire body. “He’s really not doing well. He’s struggling,” he shared.

“He’s got a blood disorder, and then he’s got the mental issues that could be early [on-set] Alzheimer’s… and probably some mini-strokes because of his blood,” Willie told Fox News. “And so, it could be some stroke stuff happening, that has happened. So, we’re still checking on all that.

“But then he also has a back issue. He’s fractured his back and that’s where the pain’s at. So, he’s kind of battling many different things at the same time.”
