Newly released police photos show Nick Reiner pinned to the ground by an officer during his arrest in the brutal slayings of his parents, Hollywood heavyweight Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner.

The 32-year-old screenwriter was taken down Sunday night by a Los Angeles Police Department officer as others stood nearby, according to images posted Monday by the LAPD Gang and Narcotics Unit. Additional photos, later deleted, showed Reiner being escorted to a patrol car.

Police said Reiner was located with assistance from the U.S. Marshal Task Force. He was arrested near a Metro station roughly 15 miles from his parents’ Los Angeles home, with sources telling ABC News he was in the vicinity of the University of Southern California.

Page Six confirmed Reiner was charged with murder after Rob and Michele Reiner were found stabbed to death inside their home Sunday afternoon. He was initially booked at Parker Center Jail downtown before being transferred to the Twin Towers Correctional Facility.

Reiner is being held without bail and has been placed on suicide watch, according to reports.

The arrest came less than 24 hours after Reiner and his parents attended Conan O’Brien’s Christmas party Saturday night. Multiple sources told People that Reiner was acting erratically and “freaking everyone out, acting crazy.” Other insiders told TMZ that he stood out at the gathering by wearing a hoodie while other guests were dressed formally.

TMZ also reported that Reiner got into a “very loud argument” with his parents at the party, prompting Rob and Michele to leave early.

Reiner has struggled for years with drug addiction and has cycled through rehab multiple times. He previously admitted to trashing his parents’ guest house during a drug-fueled rage.

Sources close to the family told The Post that Reiner had a history of violence, but said they “never thought it would get to the point” of murder.
