NEW: Ric Flair Rushed To Hospital
Ric Flair was taken to a hospital by ambulance Friday after a fall outside a Florida restaurant, hours after telling fans a blood clot had forced him to scrap an upcoming appearance, according to TMZ.
The wrestling great, 77, suffered cuts to his head and eye during the incident in Tampa. TMZ reported that Flair had walked outside the restaurant that morning when he “suddenly fell and injured his face.”
The hospital trip adds to a string of health setbacks for the WWE Hall of Famer, who survived multiple organ failure in 2017 after being placed in a medically induced coma.
Earlier this year, Flair acknowledged he needed to put his health first. In May, following a rant about an apparent trademark dispute involving his son, he disclosed “health issues” and said he was taking time to “focus on” his health.
Friday began with another unwelcome announcement for fans: Flair would not be attending Washington State Horror Con in the Seattle area.

POLL: Should Fox News Fire Jessica Tarlov?
In his social media update, Flair said a blood clot in his leg was restricting his travel. He outlined plans for a procedure to treat the affected vein, expressing hope that it would allow him to resume traveling.
The condition had already kept him from another gathering. Over the summer, Flair missed the Cauliflower Alley Club’s annual reunion because of the blood clot.
The reported fall came just hours after his latest update. The information provided did not establish whether the clot had anything to do with the incident.
Flair built one of professional wrestling’s most decorated careers across the NWA, WCW and WWE. WWE recognizes him as a 16-time world champion, with his championship runs and rivalries helping make him a marquee attraction for decades.
His legacy also includes two WWE Hall of Fame inductions. Flair entered individually in 2008 before returning in 2012 alongside the Four Horsemen, the faction he led with Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson and Tully Blanchard.
