NEW: Secret Service Makes Arrest At Trump Golf Club

A man was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon at Trump National Doral Golf Club after authorities say he confronted U.S. Secret Service personnel, refused commands, and made physical contact with an agent.

The incident unfolded around 4:15 p.m. at a security screening area staffed by Secret Service agents and local law enforcement, according to the agency’s Miami field office.

Officials said the situation escalated quickly when the man would not comply with instructions.

“During the encounter, the individual became disruptive and failed to comply with lawful orders,” Acting Special Agent in Charge Michael Townsend said. “He then made physical contact with a member of the Secret Service and was taken into custody without further incident.”

Video captured at the scene shows officers placing the man under arrest as onlookers reacted. One person filming can be heard saying the suspect was “getting the business now.”

Authorities have not released the man’s identity.

Police in Doral arrested him at the scene. He faces charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence.

Officials stressed the disruption was contained quickly and did not interfere with ongoing security operations at the property.

“The president was not on site at the time of the incident,” Townsend said. “At no point did this situation impact the established security posture for any upcoming visits to Trump Doral National Golf Club by Secret Service protectees.”

Questions about the suspect and pending charges have been referred to the Doral Police Department.
