NEW: Trans Swimmer Lia Thomas Seen Wearing ‘Antifa Super Soldier’ Shirt

Noted transgender swimmer Lia Thomas has again found himself at the center of controversy, this time due to a photograph circulated on social media showing him wearing a shirt that reads ‘Antifa Super Soldier’. The image was highlighted by conservative journalist Andy Ngo.

According to the tweet, Lia Thomas, formerly William Thomas, has now embraced Antifa branding in new photos posted on social media. Ngo then proceeded to link Thomas’s choice of clothing to what he described as “trans violent militancy.”

‘Antifa Super Soldier’ is a term that has been used to describe the militant aspect of Antifa. Thomas, a competitive swimmer at the University of Pennsylvania, has become a high-profile figure in debates over transgender rights in sports.

He transitioned in 2019, after competing for two years on the men’s team. His eligibility to compete as a woman has been a subject of contention, with many people arguing that it is unfair for transgender women to compete against cisgender women.

It’s unclear what his intentions were in donning the shirt. For the moment, however, it seems certain that Lia Thomas will continue to remain a center of controversy.
