In a series of announcements on Truth Social, former President Donald J. Trump unveiled key appointments for his incoming administration, signaling a focus on reshaping government efficiency, trade policy, and innovation in both technology and space exploration. The nominees reflect Trump’s commitment to bolstering leadership with experienced professionals and loyal allies, as he prepares to return to the Oval Office in January.

Leading the list of appointees is Jared Isaacman, a billionaire entrepreneur, astronaut, and philanthropist, tapped to head the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Trump praised Isaacman’s extensive resume, citing his accomplishments as the founder and CEO of Shift4, a global financial technology company, and co-founder of Draken International, a defense aerospace company.

“Jared will drive NASA’s mission of discovery and inspiration, paving the way for groundbreaking achievements in space science, technology, and exploration,” Trump wrote. Isaacman’s role as an astronaut and his work with private space missions through SpaceX further position him as a key player in advancing the commercial space sector. The appointment aligns with Trump’s focus on maintaining U.S. dominance in space exploration and the emerging “space economy.”

“I am honored to receive President Trump’s nomination to serve as the next Administrator of NASA. Having been fortunate to see our amazing planet from space, I am passionate about America leading the most incredible adventure in human history,” Isaacman wrote on X. “Americans will walk on the Moon and Mars and in doing so, we will make life better here on Earth.”

Trump also announced the return of Peter Navarro as Senior Counselor for Trade and Manufacturing, a move likely to excite his base. Navarro, a vocal advocate of protectionist policies during Trump’s first term, played a significant role in renegotiating trade agreements like NAFTA and pushing for tariffs on foreign imports. “Peter was treated horribly by the Deep State, but few were more effective or tenacious in enforcing my two sacred rules: Buy American, Hire American,” Trump said.

Paul Atkins, a former SEC commissioner, has been nominated to chair the Securities and Exchange Commission. Trump highlighted Atkins’ expertise in capital markets and digital assets, describing him as “a proven leader for common-sense regulations.” Atkins, who has worked extensively in risk management and blockchain technology, is expected to champion innovation while emphasizing transparency and investor protection.

“With Paul’s leadership, we’ll ensure our capital markets remain the best in the world,” Trump stated.

Sources confirmed to FOX Business that he agreed to take the position during a meeting held on Monday at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Florida residence and club, which also functions as the headquarters for his transition team. In attendance were Trump, Vice President-elect JD Vance, and Vivek Ramaswamy.

David A. Warrington, a seasoned attorney and Marine Corps veteran, has been named Assistant to the President and Counsel to the President. Warrington’s ties to Trump run deep, having served as general counsel for his presidential campaign and as his personal attorney. Trump lauded Warrington’s legal acumen and conservative values, noting that he will oversee the Office of White House Counsel.

Attorney Mike Davis added on X, “Dave is smart, tough, and fair. He is an extremely effective operator. And he’s an all-around great guy. President Trump is fortunate that Dave agreed to shut down his lucrative law practice for a higher service as the White House Counsel.”

Perhaps the most unconventional announcement was the appointment of William Joseph McGinley as Counsel to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Trump introduced this new initiative as a partnership with figures like Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to overhaul federal bureaucracy. McGinley’s mission will include eliminating regulatory red tape, cutting government waste, and streamlining operations.

“Bill will work to rebuild a U.S. government that truly serves the people,” Trump wrote. Trump’s second term will feature familiar faces and bold initiatives designed to reshape both domestic and global policies.
