NEW: Trump Gives Ruthless Statement To Iranian Regime As Deadline Approaches

President Donald Trump gave what was arguably his most pointed threat to the Iranian regime in a Truth Social post on Sunday, which came just a little over 24 hours before a hard deadline set for further escalation.

In the brief post, the president vowed to authorize strikes on key Iranian infrastructure unless an agreement is reached.

“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!!” Trump wrote. “Open the Fu**in’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell — JUST WATCH!” he continued before wrapping up the post with, “Praise be to Allah.”

The statement continues a series of public warnings from Trump concerning Iranian infrastructure. He has indicated that the United States would target Iranian power plants and bridges if an agreement is not reached to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump has described the potential strikes as a direct response to the continued blockage, stating in related comments that failure to meet the deadline would result in the loss of Iran’s power plants and bridges.

The Strait of Hormuz is a narrow passage connecting the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea. It serves as the primary route for oil and liquefied natural gas exports from several major producers in the region, including Iraq, the Gulf States and Iran itself. At pre-war levels, approximately 20 million barrels of oil per day transited the strait — accounting for roughly a fifth of global exports — along with large volumes of liquefied natural gas.

Trump’s deadline of 8 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, establishes a specific timeframe for Iran to reach an agreement on reopening the strait to shipping. The original indications pointed to an earlier window, but the April 5 clarification extended the cutoff to Tuesday evening.

If unmet, the stated consequence involves U.S. strikes on the designated infrastructure. Trump reiterated his point on a potential agreement while speaking with ABC News’ Rachel Scott. “If happens, it happens. And if it doesn’t, we’re blowing up the whole country,” he said.

When asked whether there would be any limits on potential strikes, Trump said there would be “very little.”

The approaching deadline comes after Iranian regime officials once again refused to meet with a U.S. delegation for negotiations in Pakistan. Despite this, Trump told Israeli outlet Channel 12 that the U.S. remains in “deep negotiations” over an agreement, adding that there is a “very good chance” an agreement can be reached by Tuesday.
