New York State Attorney General Invites Children to Drag Show
Letitia James, who is currently serving as the Attorney General of the State of New York, invited children to a “Drag Story Hour.” The advertisement boasts, “Join Attorney General Letitia James, Drag Storytellers, and city and state elected leaders for a Drag Story Hour Read-A-Thon.”
“Families with children are welcome!”
“The event consists of four drag story hours. You are welcome to attend one story hour or multiple. Doors will open at 10:30 am for the first story hour.”
On Friday, James tweeted out “My office is proud to host a Drag Story House read-a-thon- on Sunday.”
The duties of a State Attorney General typically include providing legal advice and representation to state officials and agencies, enforcing state laws, protecting consumers, and representing the state in legal matters, but AG James has it all figured out.
During her campaign for New York Attorney General, James emphasized her commitment to defending LGBTQ+ people. Since taking office, she has taken action against conservatives, including suing the Trump Administration.
My office is proud to host a Drag Story Hour read-a-thon on Sunday, March 19 from 11AM-3PM.
We're inviting families to join us at the @LGBTCenterNYC with @DragStoryHour, drag storytellers, community leaders, and elected officials:https://t.co/ppvZW6THPf pic.twitter.com/NXeFFIIgUZ— NY AG James (@NewYorkStateAG) March 10, 2023

WTF does that have to do with enforcement of the law?

no no no. Totally inappropriate

Previous AGs would consider these events child endangerment and would arrest and prosecute those hosting them.

One would think you'd have more important issues to deal with as AG.
