Former NFL linebacker Terrell Suggs was arrested late Tuesday night in Maricopa County, Arizona, on charges of assault and offenses against public order, officials confirmed.
The 41-year-old, who gained fame playing for the Baltimore Ravens and later the Kansas City Chiefs, was taken into custody by the Scottsdale Police Department. The arrest stemmed from an incident reported on March 10, though specific details about the allegations remain limited at this time. According to jail records obtained by TMZ, Suggs faces one count of assault and another for threatening and intimidating behavior, including disorderly conduct with a weapon. Despite the serious nature of these charges, he was released from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Jail shortly after his booking.
According to NFL reporter, Dov Kleiman, Suggs reportedly pulled a gun out and threatened to kill a man while at a Starbucks. “The man swore at Suggs, before the ex-NFL superstar challenged him to a fight. The former Raven allegedly then called the man a “p***y ass cracker,” before adding, “I’ll kill your b*tch ass.”
