NFL Star’s Wife Shreds Kamala For Politicizing Hurricane Milton: ‘She’s Garbage’

The wife of Miami Dolphins star Raheem Mostert is ripping Vice President Kamala Harris over her criticism of Florida’s governor one day after Hurricane Milton made landfall.

In a since-deleted (or expired) post on her Instagram Story, Devon Mostert declared Harris is “garbage” for taking a political shot at Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis while he and state authorities are attempting to meet the needs of three million residents without power. Separate clips of President Joe Biden declaring DeSantis doing a “great job” and Harris claiming he is “playing political games” were shared on Devon Mostert’s Instagram page with color commentary. “In case you missed it, Kam Kam went on a media rant yesterday about how selfish and utterly responsible DeSantis is. The math ain’t mathing, sis,” her post read, Fox News reported. “They’re sinking their own ship.”

Another clip of Vice President Harris showed her declaring it “irresponsible” of Gov. DeSantis to not take her call while residents were being battered by the second hurricane in two weeks. “She’s garbage. Textbook trash. No one has time, Kamala- especially not for her to say some bulls**t like, ‘we can be unburdened, by what has been,'” Devon Mostert posted on her Instagram story. One follower on X claimed the running back’s wife later posted her support for former President Donald Trump.

Mostert wasn’t the only NFL squeeze to side against the Biden-Harris administration for its mismanagement of disaster relief. Fox also reported that Annah Tagovailoa, the wife of Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, echoed the criticism when she shared a post from conservative influencer Benny Johnson that showed a video of President Trump welcoming first responders with rooms at his Trump Doral Miami resort as they dealt with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and prepared for the arrival of Milton.

Biden and Harris have scrambled plans to refocus on the American South after a torrent of criticism about the lack of support being provided by FEMA and other federal responders. On Wednesday the president addressed criticisms by Trump and others that the administration was shortchanging victims seeking up to $750 in compensation, comments first made by FEMA administrator Deanne Criswell on Tuesday. “His accusations are just completely false,” Criswell said on CNN. “Just because you don’t see somebody on the ground in a FEMA shirt doesn’t mean that we don’t have people there. We have people that are embedded in the state emergency operations center [EOC]. I have teams that are walking around neighborhoods. I have teams that are embedded with all of the county EOCs.”

Still, the arrival of Milton is another October surprise for Harris, who cut her campaign swing through California short to appear in front of the cameras while touring hard-hit areas in the storms’ paths. Trump, Glenn Beck, and other critics have accused her of providing “weak” support for victims or, in some cases, outright interfering with the ability of fellow Americans to conduct unofficial rescue efforts.
