NFL Superstar Praises Trump In New Interview: ‘He’s Like One Of Us’
President Donald Trump is going to make history this weekend when he becomes the first sitting president ever to attend the Super Bowl, which is set to be held in New Orleans. As it turns out, there are a number of NFL players who are stoked he’s going to be in the stands.
One such player who is excited that the president will attend the big game is Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby. In a recent radio interview with Fox News, Crosby discussed his past meeting with Trump and how they established a relationship.
“He’s a huge sports fan in general,” Crosby explained. “I’ve been to UFC events with him, sat and watched fights with him in the back, and he’s like one of us. That’s just his personality.”
“Having a guy like that leading is incredible, and [he’s] being a part of everyday life. It’s not like you don’t see him anywhere. He’s out with people, which is awesome to see,” Crosby added.

Later in the interview, Crosby discussed feeling safe in New Orleans in light of the horrific terrorist attack that took place on New Year’s Day. With over a hundred thousand people traveling to the city for the Super Bowl and the president being in attendance, security measures have been significantly increased to ensure that the environment is safe for sports fans to enjoy the event.
Trump and Crosby first connected with one another over sports. He said that he was “blessed” to say he has a relationship with the leader of the free world.
“It’s unbelievable,” Crosby stated during the interview. “I never thought that would be a thing in my life. I’ve been blessed enough to have friends like Dana White, guys who are friends with [Trump]. Just happened to cross paths.”
Crosby expressed how much of a supporter of the president he is not long after the first assassination attempt was made on Trump’s life last July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania, while he was on the campaign trail. The NFL star referred to the president as the GOAT in a post published on X that day.
The Raiders defensive end said that when it comes to establishing relationships, he prefers to ignore what everyone else says about a person and get to know the individual personally. He found that Trump’s personality aligned well with his own.
“To be honest, we’re all human beings at the end of the day, regardless of position, what you’ve been through,” Crosby told Fox. “Life is life, everybody has things they go through. Everyone has adversity, everyone has mistakes. But it’s about where your feet are at, and I think he’s done an incredible job with that. My relationship with him, I’ve been with him multiple times, and it’s been incredible.”
“I’m not the person that likes to judge by what other people say – I like to make my own judgments for myself. So, he’s treated me incredible every time I’ve been with him,” he added.
