‘Nobel Peace Prize’ Trends On Social Media After Trump Negotiates Ceasefire

“Nobel Peace Prize” is trending on X and other social media platforms after President Donald Trump negotiated an unprecedented ceasefire between Israel and Iran after 12 days of conflict.

A little under 48 hours after the U.S. launched strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, which was followed by a thwarted Iranian missile attack on a U.S. airbase in Qatar, the president shocked the world by announcing that both sides had agreed to a ceasefire. Under terms of the deal — which have been confirmed by both the Israeli and Iranian governments — Iran will cease hostilities within the next 12 hours.

If Iran honors its side of the arraignment, Israel will begin a ceasefire 12 hours later. This, the president wrote, will bring an official end to what he is referring to as the “12 Day War,” which saw continuous missile strikes launched by both sides.

“During each CEASEFIRE, the other side will remain PEACEFUL and RESPECTFUL. On the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both Countries, Israel and Iran, on having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end, what should be called, ‘THE 12 DAY WAR,'” the president wrote.

“This is a War that could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and never will! God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and GOD BLESS THE WORLD!”

After the announcement was made, a number of political leaders and pundits called for President Trump to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. “This is what a peace maker and the leader of the free world does, he steps in when both sides can’t agree and he gives them an offer they can’t refuse. He should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize,” said Auburn basketball coach and potential U.S. Senate candidate Bruce Pearl.

“Man brokered a ceasefire, two peace deals, and took out Iran’s primary nuclear facility in just 90 days,” wrote Daily Signal correspondent Tony Kinnett. “Get this man a Nobel Prize immediately.”

All in all, “Nobel Peace Prize” remains as one of the top trends on X roughly three hours after Trump’s announcement was made. In that time period, the phrase has been posted more than 50,000 times on the site.

In addition, Trump’s chances of winning the prestigious award surged to 10 percent on the odds site Polymarket after plunging to an all-time low of three percent when the strikes were announced on Saturday night.

Trump has already received a Nobel Peace Prize nomination from the Pakistani government due to his efforts in negotiating a ceasefire between India and Pakistan earlier this year.

“President Trump demonstrated great strategic foresight and stellar statesmanship through robust diplomatic engagement with both Islamabad and New Delhi, which de-escalated a rapidly deteriorating situation,” the Pakistani government said. “This intervention stands as a testament to his role as a genuine peacemaker.”
