Nancy Pelosi Throws The Bidens Under The Bus, Shuts Down Joe’s Absurd Assertion

When President Joe Biden shocked the nation by leaving the ticket mid-race in July, rumors quickly spread.

Now, the truth is out: Joe Biden was pushed out, and the fallout was so severe it ended a decades-long friendship between Nancy Pelosi and the Bidens.

On Thursday, NBC’s Andrea Mitchell asked Pelosi if her frosty relationship with Dr. Jill Biden could be mended. Pelosi responded with a hopeful yet telling five words: “Well, I certainly hope so.” Not exactly a Hallmark-worthy sentiment.

The rift traces back to Pelosi’s role in pushing Biden out of the 2024 race following his shaky debate performance last June. In an emotional interview with The Washington Post, Dr. Jill Biden called the betrayal particularly painful: “We were friends for 50 years. It was disappointing.”

For anyone expecting Pelosi to extend an olive branch, her MSNBC interview wasn’t exactly encouraging. When asked if she had spoken to Joe Biden, who’s been “visiting” D.C. lately, Pelosi bluntly replied, “No, I haven’t.”

She didn’t stop there.

When asked to respond to Biden’s assertion that he would have turned in a stronger performance against Trump than his replacement, Pelosi didn’t hold back. She doubled down, suggesting Biden wouldn’t have fared any better against Trump than Kamala Harris, who lost all seven battleground states—some by margins that would make even Hillary Clinton cringe. “Well, all I know is that we won a seat in the House,” Pelosi said, dodging any mention of Harris’s missteps. “We did not lose any seats.”

“You know people were like, ‘Whoa, the Democrats lost,'” Pelosi continued. “No, we did not.”

As expected, Pelosi ended her interview with a classic political pivot, invoking “the children” and “America’s working families” as talking points. “My whole passion about being in politics is for the children,” she claimed before circling back to the real point: keeping Donald Trump out of office.

“But it did [happen]. And now we have to deal with it.”

Translation: Pelosi got exactly what she wanted—a chance to push Biden aside. Now, if Jill Biden needs a new lunch buddy, maybe Kamala has an opening.
