‘Perfect Score’: Results Revealed From Trump’s Annual Physical Exam
President Donald Trump has once again been declared in “excellent health” following his latest physical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The full report, released on Sunday, confirms the 78-year-old Commander-in-Chief remains mentally and physically fit for duty, with lab results, diagnostic imaging, and specialist assessments all falling within normal — or in many cases optimal — ranges.
The comprehensive physical, overseen by White House physician Capt. Sean P. Barbabella, included input from fourteen medical specialists. The President consented to the public release of his medical results, which included a full lipid panel, complete blood count, metabolic screening, and neurological and cognitive assessments.
Barbabella wrote that the results reflect a man in strong physical condition, with no concerning findings. Among the most notable markers were Trump’s cholesterol levels: his total cholesterol was 140 mg/dL, with an HDL (“good” cholesterol) of 77 mg/dL and LDL (“bad” cholesterol) of 51 mg/dL — all within optimal ranges.
His triglycerides were also low, at 56 mg/dL. Fasting blood glucose came in at 89.7 mg/dL, and his A1c was measured at 5.2, indicating strong metabolic health with no signs of diabetes or pre-diabetes.
The President’s resting heart rate was 62 beats per minute, with a blood pressure reading of 128/74 mmHg. His pulse oximetry was a near-perfect 99% on room air, and his temperature was a healthy 98.6°F.
Trump’s cognitive assessment was administered using the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), where he achieved a perfect score of 30 out of 30. According to Barbabella, Trump also completed the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 screenings for depression and anxiety, and both returned results within the normal range.

One of the few documented health notes in the report was the presence of scarring on the President’s right ear, a result of the July 2024 assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The incident left visible damage, but according to the physician’s report, his hearing remains unaffected.
The physical also included a CT scan of the chest, a colonoscopy (previously done in 2024), and extensive neurological evaluations. All returned normal results. The dermatological exam revealed only minor sun damage and a few benign lesions.

Berlin, Germany, October 18, 2024. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the President of the United States, Joe Biden, hold a short press conference in the Federal Chancellery in Berlin.
In contrast, former President Joe Biden’s last publicly released physical took place in February 2024. His physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, described him as a “healthy, active, robust 81-year-old male.”
However, Biden did not undergo a formal cognitive assessment like the MoCA. The White House stated that it was unnecessary, citing the daily rigors of the presidency as an informal measure of cognitive function. The decision sparked debate following Biden’s widely criticized debate performance in June 2024.
Visitor logs also showed that a Parkinson’s specialist visited the White House multiple times over an eight-month span, prompting further speculation. The administration insisted the visits were part of routine consulting duties dating back over a decade.
