British journalist Piers Morgan, during his appearance on Fox News’ ‘The Five’, has made a bold prediction about the 2024 presidential election, stating that Donald Trump is likely to decisively defeat incumbent Joe Biden.

Morgan described the Democratic party’s situation as perilous. “They all know… two-thirds of Democrats think he’s too old. Two-thirds of his own party think he’s too old to run again,” Morgan said. He expressed his skepticism about Biden’s decision to run for re-election, calling him a “dead man walking.”

“Joe Biden ran as the anti-Trump candidate. Well, he can’t do that again now. He has to run on his own record.” He pointed to Biden’s approval rating, suggesting it to be a significant hurdle. “I don’t think any incumbent president in history has won with that approval rating at this stage,” Morgan noted.

Discussing Trump’s resilience in the face of adversity, Morgan likened him to a cinematic icon. “It’s a bit like with King Kong on top of the buildings here. The more they plunged into his back, the more powerful he got,” he said. Morgan, acknowledging his past views, admitted, “I really didn’t [think Trump would make a comeback]. I thought Trump was done.”

Morgan concluded with a reflection on Trump’s current momentum: “And my God, that guy’s got resilience. And he has got a wind behind his gate, which says to me he thinks he’s going to win.”
