SHOCK POLL: Overwhelming Majority Of Americans Support Trump’s Mass Deportation Plans
A new poll from YouGov, which is widely regarded as a left-leaning pollster, found overwhelming support for President-elect Donald Trump’s plans for mass deportations of illegal aliens.
The poll, which was conducted by YouGov and distributed by CBS News, found that 73 percent of respondents want the Trump Administration to focus on deporting illegal aliens. In total, 45 percent of respondents believe repatriations should be a high priority, while an additional 28 percent said it should be a “medium” priority, according to the post-election survey that polled 2,232 U.S. adults.
Only lowering the costs of goods and services was identified as a more significant concern, as 79 percent of respondents said this should be a high priority while an additional 16 percent identified lowering costs as a medium priority. Just five percent said lowering costs is not a priority, while 27 percent of respondents said the same about mass deportations.

In addition to widespread support for deportation plans as a whole, 57 percent of Americans want Trump to start a national program aimed at deporting every single illegal alien currently residing in the United States.
The YouGov poll found similar results to another post-election survey conducted by Rasmussen, which found that 76 percent of Americans favor deportation plans. Breaking down the results further, 50 percent of respondents said the issue was “very” important, while an additional 26 percent said it was “somewhat” of a priority. Just 22 percent of those surveyed said it was not important.
On day one, Trump plans to reinstate a number of immigration executive orders that were rescinded by President Biden on his first day in January 2021. Among the orders planned by Trump is the reintroduction of the popular Remain in Mexico policy, which required asylum seekers to wait outside the country while their asylum claims are processed.
The Biden Administration has instead opted for a catch and release policy, under which illegal aliens are released and oftentimes transported to locations of their choosing within the U.S. interior.
Incoming Border Czar Tom Homan has stated that the administration will first focus on criminals and illegal aliens who have received deportation orders that have not been enforced by the Biden Administration. Millions of individuals who fall under one of these two categories are scattered across the United States, while many are currently in U.S. prisons.
Trump has also suggested that he will be calling for penalties against companies who hire illegal aliens over American workers.
