REPORT: Pope Leo XIV’s Brother Shared Post Calling Pelosi ‘Drunk C***’

It didn’t take conservatives long to uncover that Pope Leo XIV is a registered Republican. But his beliefs may pale in comparison to those of his brother, who has delivered some acidic takedowns of Democrats over the years, according to since-deleted posts on a social media account he reportedly controlled.

The sibling of the first American pope made a series of pro-Trump comments during the 2024 election and at one point shared a post referring to former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) as a “drunk c***,” according to a report by the Daily Beast.

Louis Prevost, 73, appears to have deleted those posts, but caches of their history were uncovered by the liberal outlet, proving that the elder brother of Pope Leo is no fan of Democrats.

In another post, Louis Prevost wrote, “These f***ing liberals crying about tariffs is just unreal” while sharing a video of Pelosi in 1996 advocating for more tariffs.

“Do they not know that there is a thing called video? Just listen to what this drunk c*** has to say In the mid 90s long before her husband had grindr dates.”

In another post, he called for Democrats to be arrested for meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Florida resident previously posted a picture of a mental institution.

“Where the woke lived before the ‘70s,” a caption on the picture reads.

Louis Prevost also appears to be a fan of Vice President J.D. Vance, whom he complimented following his debate against Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. The warm words stood in contrast to a harsher observation by his brother, who has been critical of Vance in the past.

The expletive-ridden posts share one thing in common: proof that the Prevost family is filled with conservatives who are deeply skeptical of Democrats.

One salvo by Louis Prevost recalled the greatness of America’s public schools before “lefties took over and ruined” them.

Back then, progressive educators would have been “tarred, feathered and rode out of town on a donkey, or worse, shot or strung up for screwing with people’s lives so much,” he wrote, the NY Post reports.

Louis and his brother, formerly known as Robert Francis Prevost, grew up with their other brother, John, outside Chicago in the suburb of Dolton, Illinois. In past interviews, Louis recalled his brother Robert as always being the peacemaker in the family.

“Jeez, it was like just yesterday, I was throwing him down the stairs,” Louis Prevost told the New York Times. “And now he’s pope!”

He also pointed to areas of disagreement with his famous brother, who has voted in Republican primaries, and predicted what kind of pope he will ultimately be.

“I think he’s going to be similar to [Pope] Francis, but maybe not quite as liberal-minded, you know, flexing the church rules quite so much,” Louis Prevost said. “I think he’d be a little more conservative.”

Politics aside, the elder brother is ecstatic about what Pope Leo’s new reign will mean for Christians and the resurgence of their faith.

“And as soon as [a church official] went ‘Ro-,’ my mind blew up, because I knew ‘Ro-‘ was going to turn into Roberto. And sure enough, Roberto Francisco,” he told CBS News shortly after the announcement that Pope Leo XIV had been selected.

“And I went nuts. I lost it. Mind blown. My little brother was just made pope. Oh my God. What do I do? How do I act? Do I have to change the way I live? I better behave now.”
