Prince William’s Alleged Mistress Breaks Her Silence
Rose Hanbury is confronting revived rumors of an alleged affair with Prince William, voicing her frustration over persistent claims and rumors. The speculation about a romantic link between William, 41, and Hanbury, 40, initially emerged in 2019, suggesting that it caused a strain between Kate Middleton and Hanbury.
A former model with deep royal connections, Hanbury is married to David Cholmondeley, the 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley, and has been a visible figure in royal circles, attending William and Kate’s 2011 wedding and Prince Philip’s 2021 memorial service.
Addressing the rumors, royal expert Nick Bullen told Us Weekly, “I know people who know the Marchioness of Cholmondeley very, very well, and she absolutely was not having an affair with the Prince of Wales.” He added that Hanbury was distressed by the allegations when they first surfaced and remains so today.
Bullen told Us that the absence of details provided by the palace concerning Kate’s surgery has stirred the rumor mill.

“Something the royal family could possibly learn from [this] is that [with] these vacuums that are created, other people can be collateral damage,” he said. “Perhaps they need to think about that collateral damage.”
The royal expert labeled the affair rumors as “rubbish,” saying that unfaithfulness “goes against everything” William believes in due to his experiences of witnessing his father and mother, King Charles III and the late Princess Diana, engage in highly publicized affairs during their marriage.
“He saw the damage that affairs can cause. What I’m told [is], it’s just not in his psyche,” Bullen explained.
On Monday, Kate Middleton was spotted out shopping with Prince William. The public appearance started a whirlwind of rumors with many people claiming that the person seen with Prince William was not, in fact, Kate.
According to TMZ, the couple was spotted at a high-end shopping district, looking relaxed and engaged in what seemed to be a casual outing. Eyewitnesses and fans quickly took to social media to share their opinions, with several pointing out discrepancies in the Duchess’s appearance.
Comments ranged from differences in height and posture to more subtle observations about her fashion choices, which seemed out of character for the Duchess known for her distinct and consistent style.
However, Bullen confirmed to Us that the video is “definitely” real.

“I’ve been to that farm shop, it’s very close to the cottage,” he said. “It was definitely her.”
The rumors intensified after Middleton’s prolonged absence from the public eye after an abdominal surgery, an absence that catalyzed rampant speculation and rumor-mongering. Amidst the backdrop, a seemingly innocuous Mother’s Day photograph released by Kensington Palace became a lightning rod for controversy.
The image, showing Middleton with her children, was later suspected of digital manipulation, fueling further speculation about the Duchess’s whereabouts and state of her marriage. The Princess later apologized for the edited photograph, which inadvertently intensified the controversy surrounding her health and the authenticity of her publicly shared personal moments.
